Default Z28 vs C6, G8 vs Cobalt, GTO vs SRT-4

A few of us met up yesterday to try and get a few runs in. Overall it went smoothly and we got some good races.

2000 Z28, 6 speed, Dynatech long tubes, offroad Y-pipe, Corsa catback, lid, tune, Z06 clutch and flywheel, shifter

2005 Corvette, 6-Speed, cai
**THE CORVETTE HAS A Z06 BODY CONVERSION. IT IS NOT A Z06**

The first race was a 1st gear roll with a passenger in both cars. At the start of the race, the Z28 was on the inside lane of a slight curve, fwiw.

The second race was a 2nd gear roll with a passenger in both cars.

2009 G8 GT, A6, cai, axleback exhaust, tune

2008 Cobalt SS TC, GM Stage 1

This race was from 40 mph, with a passenger in both cars.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYm6c4ncZTM

2005 GTO, M6, stock

2004 SRT-4, not sure on the exact mods, but it has a bunch of bolt-ons and a 50-trim turbo set to 21 psi. Put down 337 whp.

This race was from 30 mph, with the GTO in 1st gear and the SRT-4 in 2nd gear. We told him that was too low for 2nd, but he wanted to give it a shot anyway.

This race was from 45 mph, with both cars in 2nd gear.

I've played around with the SRT-4 in the G8 and I've ridden in it and I thought it would be a better race. I'm thinking a little driving practice might make it a bit closer

I think we all had alot of fun yesterday and there was zero drama

I don't think he was at his driving peak for this race, but I don't think he could have closed that gap all the way with the power he's making. Probably could be closer though.

Same guy that owns/drives the yellow vette.

The way it goes down in my head is that you and I would race and then, when we played the tape back, it would mysteriously be blank.

Then, seven days later, we would both die.

Sweet daytime videos. If a certain someone wasn't being a pain in the *** about a jetski then I would have been there. Oh well, I grilled up some delicious chicken, porterhouse steaks, and a bunch of other crap and feasted at the lake. I think I'm still full.

GTO and Juice's driving never fail to impress, especially considering no more headers and stuff. The G8 laid down a whoopin on that Cobalt.

Sounds like a plan! My car seems to be a good race for stock 6-speed LS1 fbodies from a roll, so maybe your gearing will even out your mods, lol. Should be a blast no matter how it goes down

Good runs, you pulled away from that cobalt pretty good. NLS would have made it closer, but I think you would have still edged it out.

Ron, you made it sound like the run with the Cobalt was closer than that. Looks like a fun day, hope it wasn't 8,000* like it was here.

Nevermind, got my texts mixed up. Here's what it actually said:

"Just walked a Stage 1 Cobalt pretty good. Hugger's piece of **** would be screwed if we ran. **** that little bitch."
