Today pulling off 121 I pass a gt500 merging onto the saem street as me. I chill in the right lane hoping well have a chance to "play" since its a 500 hp car. He comes by me drops it in second. but I have traffic. When the light turns red traffic clears and we talk for a second and both agree to hit it. I figured this would be the only race i would even be able to hang . light turns green we both go and i start pulling ahead about three cars. I let off at 60/70 he pulls up we do a 50 punch and he barely pulls any on me . he did get aboout half a car or so, but nothing how i expectedThe gt500 was stock and I know he could have been a better driver but im still proud of how ls1 did.

Man a you must have the baddest LS1 with a few bolt ons there is. Also you talked and he told you it was stock? Or you know what they sound like and how they run when modded?


Some the stories on here are just to funny. Next a stock LS1 will be killing a Ford GT.

Ok so you are telling me that beating a car that runs 8.5's in the 1/8 th
is not possible for an ls1? I know the car was stock because we talked at the light before we went and i know that a bolt on gt500 is a totally different story. . My car has ran 8.5's with current mods and **** 60ft. This was a much more even match than everyone thinks and he just didnt have a good start .

I didnt say my car was faster but i did beat that car. driver error not hard to believe . Just because You can afford a 500 hp car doesnt mean you can drive it . a stock gt500 runs 12.8 plenty of b olt on ls1's run low 12's not hard to believe.

Not hatin but dude must not can drive. Even tho the one I raced was pullied, cia n tuned....I only got him by a car. I'd go to say 2+ if he were stock. When I was stock, I raced my fare share of bolton LS1'S and I'm here to tell ya, I usually walked them. Somthin don't add up here...

I give you they run 12.8's with shitty drivers. Thats on stock rubber and all for a 2009 and older. With good drivers they will go low 12's bone stock. A 2010+ has been take down to mid 11's bone stock. But it is the street and anything can happen. And now you said he had a bad start. On the roll race did he know you was racing or did you really just punch it and he passed you?

Guys like you is why people think they throw a few bolt ons they can beat any car out there.

and this car was on stock rubber and was indeed a shitty driver . the roll race i had my car in second we went from about fifty to maybe 80 he would have pulled more and more the longer we raced . I knew a dig was the only way it would even be fun. Its just alot easier to launch an a4 with decent tires then a 500 hp car with stock tires. and i dont think bolt ons is enough but in this case it was enought to beat this car.

I know how much a driver makes a difference. I can find video's of several cars that should be faster of every car. You name it. Hell see it in person all time. GT500/Z06/5th gen that make 500whp/5.0's that make more then me.

I will say at least now you admit you beat the driver more then the car. And say he would have pulled you more.
