Challenger srt-8 vs. T/A
Today after work I had a Challenger Srt-8 try to race me. Guy said it had a cat back, intake and tune. Claimed it made 450 at the wheels. Needless to say I pulled him from the light and to about 75(3 lengths). Guess that will teach him to think twice before racing a T/A again.

Nice kill! Have a kid around where I live with a Challenger SRT8, it's loud as hell. Ran him in my car with similar mods but M6, similar resuts but didn't get to run it out too fast.
Wish you had a vid!

if it was a 2011 you probably would have beat beaten out by a bit. the 2011 set comes with a new 392 motor cranking out 475hp its truly a beast lol those cars are trapping around 112mph bone stock. you can identify them by looking at the fenders instead of just saying challenger on the sides it will have a big orange "392" badge

The 2011 SRT8 Challenger will smoke the 2010. Bigger motor 470HP/470TQ and they will move out. There isn't any tuning available yet for the new version. Buddy of mine has one and it is impressive bone stock and 4150lbs. His brother has a 2010 and its not near as fast.

Good info. The car didn't have any badges on it but judging by what you guys are saying it was a 2010 and the guy "wished" he had the 2011. I will be meeting him again Saturday so. Ill try to get a vid of his car and one of us running again. Thanks for the info!

They have ran 11.9 with drag radials,tc,and exhaust. No tuning available. Could be a 11.6 with tuning and thats pretty damn impressive.

I'm with him ^^
The SRT-8 definitely has a front and rear badge. Most R/T's have the painted R/T on the side. There must have been some sort of identifying feature on it so you would know what model it was. If you heard it with a loud exhaust, it was most definitely a V8, I don't think you'd mix up a V8 and V6 sound. But there is a huge difference in power and performance between the R/T and the SRT-8. R/T's run high 13's, SRT-8's run low 13's.
Ever taken your T/A to the strip? What's it run in the 1/4?
