So on saturday I was on the way home and decided to pass by the local spot. I pulled up and I noticed a couple of cars and a white z28. As I drive by the z28 one of the guys signal me if I wanna race. I get out and talk a little bit and agree to a 60-120 roll. He tells me that he has k&n filter,2.73's,a4, and something else. (his brother is a member) We roll out and he honks it off...He immediately pulls a car and by 90mph I'm passing him and I'm not sure if he let off before 120mph. Regardless it was a lot of fun.

stock 2.73 cars. I had one, not a fast car at all. Good kill I suppose unless he let out, I know that when the 2.73 cars shift into 3rd gear, it takes a bit to get the momentum back up again. 3rd gear in those cars max out the speedo lol. 90ish sounds like it shifted.

I have them also, in my car 1st is 45 second is 90~95 and I've never seen how far third goes, just takes to long to get there lol my car pulls solid till third, then it falls on its face.

Mine pulled in 3rd all the way past 155mph lol and was still going (rev limiter was set higher) and no speed limiter.

My friends car I ran said he think's I was doing close to 170mph since he was topped out at 155 in a 3.23 car and I kept pulling and pulling away.

But until I got headers, the car didn't pull for **** until I got way up in the mph in 3rd.

Though I will say my Z28 ran a 13.3 @ 106mph on a 2.1 60" on street tires. with just LS6 intake and headers and some suspension(LCA's, SFC's and Panhard bar) on stock shocks/springs.

Still a slow *** car though lol. still miss it, it was my first car and was totalled in 08.

I was hoping he would chime in...but from what I read ,I guess 3rd gear starts low in rpm.
