HAHAHA i knew that would get ya goin. it woulda blew up no matter who was drivin you was just the lucky one. bent valve counts as blown up. ill take the blame for trashing number matching block . oh well it would have still been sbf if we hadn't killed it. I quit saving all original shit when block got ventilated. thats what i get for throwin used heads at it without having them checked. the heads had been run previously with to much cam for the valve springs = coil bind then shoved valve through the retainer.

Kinda hard to read what you said but are you trying to say hios car is a street car and mine is not? LOL could you explain why a face plated, motor swaped or mild h/c, race seats/ steering wheel 3000lb car is more of a dd then mine? Oh and explain your last part about equal times?

Not on hio. He drives the car every where. No joke. I've drove the car myself, I owed him work for some stuff he had done for me, so i put the rear gears in for him one weekend. The car is not a rattle trap and it drives better than most stock f-body of that time and mileage.

What are you talking about h/c???? Are you a little slow? It is a stock ls6 from the heads to crank.....

Let me break it down, If you would order a ls6 crate engine from gm. Take it out of the crate, Put the camaro/fireturd oil pan and windage tray(comes with the vette oil pan). Put Harland shape rockers on it and a fast intake with 42lb ford injector. You'd have hios engine....You get it????

Some guys will run anything on the street and call it a street car. I'm not willing to make some of the sacrifices others are. If I were I could easily get another 100lb out of the car, probally more. The fp'ed t-56 really is only diferent than a sycro'd t-56 by a clunk going into gear...and it don't always clunk, far less intrusive than a big stall. No real draw backs to keep it from goin anywhere in the country. The race seats are more comfortable than stock and I notice that my gf stays in her seat w/o hanging on much better....lol The engine drives like stock and still gets great mpg's. When you drive your's for 13yrs and 110k as your main vehicle then you will realize that it also has to be reliable.
As stated numerous times, the motor swap was a necessity. The next one will be for fun, and it will be stock too.

Besides, yours is not even running yet.....I have a leg up on ya there

My car is tagged, insured, and has an inspection sticker. That is my definition of street car.

My definition of a street car is any car that can be driven on the street! Bumper to bumper traffic, summer heat and all without breaking down on the side of the road. Even if its not "technically" street legal, if your car can do that it can be considered a street car imo.

Now off to get my flame suit.

Problem with this is not all areas have the same rules, my car is far from street legal in most places lol

I agree with this, if you could drive the car daily for a month or even a week and have no problems I'd say its a "street" car.

As that say, anything can happen in the street lol

I agree with that... takes a lot these days to fall outside of that though... I know a few guys running single digits that can still pull that off.
