Stock Mustang Boss vs bolt on G8

After a disappointing day at the track I tried to redeem myself against the mighty Boss. Alas the boss was too much, and from 45 to close to 120 he put a car length between us. I hung in there for a while, but as we closed in on 100mph I just didn't have the power. Too much weight and that boss has amazing top end speed. My car ran like **** at the track and my tune needs a little work. Even then I don't think it would have made much if any difference in the top end where he got me.
The chase car is a maggied G8.
I have one more angle but ran out of time before work to get the vid edited. The Boss will be a real beast once the mods start.

444hp is what the Boss's have I thought? And something like 380 for the G8 GT's? Not to mention the 400-500lb weight difference.

Stock the G8 GT has 361 HP vs the Boss at 440. My car is not stock though and last dumped 349rwhp. It is probably loser to 360rwhp now, but still less than what the boss puts down. My car is just too fat at 4000lbs to run down a 3500lbs car with mote HP and a 7500 rpm redline. It was fun trying though. The boss is very impressive.

I have to get my tune sorted out first. Before we raced I just finished stinking it up at Sac raceway. My trap speeds were 2-3mph off. I was having some shifting problems but even then she just seemed to fall flat up top. It was my first time racing with this tune and it just needs some data logging and tweeking. I need every little bit I can get against that car.
Historically my car has run really well and I have dogged a lot of formidable cars. That Boss earned my respect.

MOTOR TREND march 2012 issue had the boss 302 running 12.4@113.9mph and a 0-60mph in 4.0..0-100mph 9.5...runs very good in my eyes, to bad it was running against a new ZL1...and yes, i was impressed with your G8...nice runs...

He was in the bottom of third gear while we were in 2nd, and he couldn't hear the horns. Slow reaction to what was going on. Doesn't matter how much power you have if you give up the hit and are a gear too high. Chasing down cars is not easy.
