Default Cam Only 04 Gto Vs 12 gt
Raced a 5.0 in my gto.

Not going to lie I was a bit worried about this one. Mustang owner was a real cool guy. Said he wetn 11.96 at 118. His mods were full exhaust intake and tune. My car is an EPS cam only 04 gto.

My setup isnt really performing up to par yet. The stock gears are killing me.

Also his car had 3.73s. He seemed to drive pretty well

Nice Kill OP. Its always nice to have close runs and then every party involved is cool about it. If he really did run 11.9 at 118 your car must move out good. Video proves what you say happened did actually happen. IMO there is no way that the 5.0 actually did run 11.9 at 118. If he did I see him slowly and I mean slowly walking out on you. I have been wrong before though.

Yeah I know the 5.0s run good. I took his word for the track times. I want to run again when I get gears.

With his mods on 5.0 he should run a little faster ET really closer to 11.6 range. That trap is about right. All depends on his 60ft/DA race weight.

nice race. 3/4 of the way through it looked like the 5.0 was gaining ground but the driver let off possibly cause the speed was getting too high and dangerous.

He only wanted to go to 120 that's when he let off. The dude who ride with him said if he shifted 5th he would have pulled but I am doubting it because I still had a lot of rpm in fourth

Good runs man, get that gear and you got him all day! I call bs on his times too, low 12s with his mods is about avg.
