Stockish 02 t/a vs new 5.0 I was on the way back from cookout during my lunch break when a guy in a new 5.0 jumped in front of me to get on the interstate ramp...you know, the annoying fly up and cut in front of you instead of just getting behind you. I stayed behind him on the interstate for a few miles as I watched him weave in and out of cars like a maniac. I pulled up beside him when the traffic clears and glance over. Some 25ish yeah old douchebag looking guy with his hat turned backwards. He looks at me as if he's saying "you don't want any of this son." I smile and downshift to 3rd as he downshifts also. I made a couple of small hits to taunt him and he just guns it. Within about 2 seconds I was walking away from him slowly but surely. He let off, dropped back, and I never saw him again. I was just happy that the first kill in my new car was against something that I could have never beaten in my old 01 formula. My 02 trans am has ported 241 heads, ls6 cam, fast intake, 150 shot that was previously on my 01 formula, and a beautiful MGW shifter that I put in this morning before work. The car was making a little over 400rwhp with the previous owner. Unfortunately, he kept his lid and exhaust. He swapped in the stock lid and airbox with free ram air mod, and welded some shitty flowmaster muffler (I think 80 series) into a stock catback. I think my car ran really well considering its choking itself. Headers, ory, catback, lid, and tune coming soon. Also, I'll be getting a gopro soon. Just in time for track season.
Oh and almost forgot the most important thing. Bottle was OFF

your description of the race almost sound like a commercial for Chevy or something "25 year old maniac weaving in and out of cars then saying you dont want none of this". This kill seems a bit far fetched... not the beating of the 5.0, but the way it presented itself. I cant say ive ever met someone actually say to me "you dont want none of this". However if that is the case, then good kill. Especially for such a stock car

yea because 241s ported with a ls6 cam and fast intake certainly is the ls1 holy **** package. you guys crack me up. not even long tubes. you guys really think it even makes 400 rwhp? lol... hardly stock but nothing special for parts either.
I love reading kills like this. think its funny when they go down because I'm sure the salesman told him no gm would be beating his mighty 5.0

Good kill but I call bullshit on the car making over 400rwhp. A healthy C5 z06 dynos 350 to the wheels with the better "243" casting heads so lets say your ported 241s are equivalent which is a big "if" and you add the fast intake on to that setup which is maybe 10-15hp over the stock ls6 intake on the z06 and I would say 365rwhp and thats probably pushing it a little. But hey this is the internet where stock ls1 f bodies run 11s and dyno 350hp bone stock
