Default Camaro vs R6

Ran my friends 06 R6 yesterday. I gotta say I was kind of surprised by the outcome. I thought he was just going to absolutely murder me, but it wasn't too bad lol.

My mods are: 99 z28, boltons, 100 shot, and built t56, monster stg3 clutch and lightweight flywheel. made 356/368 on motor. hoping to be at least in the 430-450whp range after i get it tuned for the juice.

R6: stock with slip on and rider mod lol. he weighs 165.

I took the hit, he caught me at the end of 3rd gear, but i stopped his pull in 4th and we just locked.

In SRK it turns out NO crotch rocket is all so fast after all...

I hope this was spraying a 100 shot... Either way, he doesn't have the rider mod if it is a relatively newer bike.

With you on a 100 hit and a 1st gear roll with you getting the hit he would have immediately passed you and put multiple lengths on you.

Good runs just bringing everyone down a notch.

Of course I have no video to back it up, so take it as you will, but I ran a 2006 Ninja 636 from a 40 and 80 roll in my truck and won both. 4.8L on 18psi... I'm not that fast, neither are they.

Nice race, but he started in second gear at 50mph? If so, I would retract your "rider mod" statement. And if he did start in first gear at 50mph and those were the results, then I would also retract your "rider mod" statement.

Yes I sprayed, and yes he was in first gear. He can ride a bike for sure, and he has his shifts down. Maybe his bike just isn't running good? Not sure, don't know too much about bikes.

Yep. A good rider at a decent track will have that bike in the high 10's bone stock at close to 130, possibly 130+ at a good track on a good day with a light rider. And from 50mph in first, that trap speed is deceiving as the bike will pull even harder from first gear than the speeds he's trapping at the end of the 1/4 let on. Just some info for ya next time you run into a bike, OP.

And regardless of what the bike is capable of, the runs went down how they went down!

A modern 1000 with a good rider? Depending on the particular bike, high 9's at 145-150 (again, give or take depending on rider, track conditions, etc).

Consistently launching a liter bike well is quite a task, though, and you can almost guarantee any random person you will run on the street won't be able to. In fact, most riders I know would probably be lucky to run a mid 10 even after a few practice runs. It takes both ***** and skills to get a good slip on those things.

So I might have a chance one the street then.. Nice.. I know I could get a 600 or a 750 bike from a dig or a roll. But the liter bike always made nervous..

i don't think most people realize that even though they might trap the same or +5mph faster than a 600 their 1st gear is absolutely nasty... They WILL jump out on you and it will end up being a chase.

What do you typically trap?

He could play with one... I doubt he will tell his setup or times however.

His car hooks hard and pulls nicely up top. I think he would still get beat but it would be a damn good run.
