Default Solstice GXP vs F-150 lightning

Was just cruising down the freeway when a 02 F-150 lightning gave the little old solstice a rev. Kept trying to pull up next to him but he kept just mashing it. Finally after the 2nd attempt I got next to him and motioned for a 3 honk. He honked it 3 times at 60 and we took off. By the time I hit 100 I was about 2 cars ahead until I shut down. Pulled off the road a little down the road and talked to him. Really awesome guy. Told him what I have and he said his truck had headers, exhaust, cat delete, upgraded tranny(upgraded stall, torque converter, and shift kit but didn't say how high of stall) , no tune yet. Said he was happy that he kept up so well. I told him he needs a tune and a smaller pulley and we could run again. Was proud of the little ole 2.0. You guys have any input on about what times he would be running? I haven't been able to take a 2+ hour trip yet to get the solstice to the track.

Nice!

Don't see too many Solstice GXP guys on here. My dad has an 07 GXP w/ 17k miles on it that myself and buddies take out occasionally for fun since I'm without a current toy. How do you like the tune? Any news on more gains for different tunes than GM's Stage 1?

Trying to get the old man to mod up more and buy an exhaust and intake. Of course he isn't a car guy like me. Might have to buy him a few birthday presents.

Thanks man. The tune is awesome woke the car up so much. Went from 14 psi stock to 24 psi is definitely a big gain. I suggest getting the tune to anyone. The trifecta I have read to be the best bang for you buck. The gm I believe puts you at like 290 hp and 340 torque at the crank. From the dyno's i have seen from the trifecta tune from other people you are doing about 285-290 rwhp and 330-340 rwtrq. I am waiting to do some more stuff before a dyno though. You should get your dad a tune he would love it.

Haha used to have one does that count? Thanks I wanna get rid of the 4 banger in the future and drop a ls3 in it. I think that would be more fun.

trifecta is not what you should go with for a LNF GXP. I had a 09 Cobalt SS Turbo with only exhaust, intake, intercooler piping, and a HPtune i was making 310whp and 383wtq

those little LNFs are no joke

That is way too cheap. Dad's 07 with 17k on it, cloth interior, crappy stock stereo still KBB's for $17k good condition PP. His is excellent though. Underbody looks perfect

KBB doesn't mean all that much. The price of a car will vary no matter where you go. And if you call KBB and ask them to pay 17k for your car, they will tell you they can't do that.

mine was 07, leather, loaded. a few rock chips infront of the back wheels. for sale for almost 4 months before it was purchased. the guy that got it turned around the very next day and relisted it to make cash and it never sold... i paid 22k for it with 1024 miles from my boss who also owned a car dealership. i got hosed but really didnt need the payment and i never drove the car. like ever. that car did do cookies like a boss tho! like driving a damn gocart that got 35-40 mpg lol. pulled pretty good for a 4 banger too

Well yeah KBB isn't the all tell all, but it is a good idea. I know if he was wanting to sell I would definitely tell him to go on the high end for a car with maintenance records for everything, constantly detailed/waxed, pristine, clean underbody, 17k miles (clutch barely feels all the way broke in yet)
