Default Trans am vs Mach 1

Had the chance to run a Mach 1 today.. In Mexico. After seeing all the post on here I was scared he what exhaust so I figured he was at least 700 hp. We were pretty even till about 110 but I started to pull away. Edged him out a little does this sound about right? I just have a lid and a cat back pretty much:p

I hardly understand, but it sounds about right if he's stock. Usually its a drivers race stock for stock.

I understand all the Mach hate from a GM site, but my two buddies both had Machs with just o/r mid-pipe, catback, and a dyno tune. On radials both running mid 12s at 109-110mph.

Ya it was a joke lol. I see crap like that about them here all the time. On my iPhone so the post was auto corrected. Meant to say all he had was exhaust. At least that's what he told me. And we were pretty dead even but I started to pull away at about 110.

Good Run OP. Sounds like you ran into a stockish one like yourself seems right and is your car a auto or M6. Btw here is my experience with a Mach 1.

My car was longtubes tru-dual exhaust and 3.90 gear.
Mach 1 was catless y-pipe and some sort of aftermarket muffler, CAI, 3.73 gear with a I think a SCT "canned" tune. Both cars are manual trans.

I ran a 13.9 when completely stock and car in not so good condition mechanically, (General maintenace Etc).

I dont hate on stangs... Theres a few solid ones running around my area.

Its a drivers race...

It's all good. The best my other friend (he had a black Mach with same mods) got was a 12.56 at 111 that day.

Whatever.....he's dead hooking off a 2step to run 13.0 on a tire with atleast exhaust on it. For comparison I ran 13.0 @ 109 slipping the clutch to get moving with only 2mods. A airlid and a granitelli mass air. If we were to have run on the street he would've been looking at tailights......even though we ran the same et with a launch like he's getting.

Was that on your stock motor or your other stock motor?
