have anyone raced a 3000GT VR-4 ?

i think 3000GT is a plane specialy in take off ...

The fastest GTO in the world is for Zesty Racing Team ..

it's 700PS and it's engine too giantish .. it's run 1/4 in 10.56s with small turbo

it's GTO MR .. this kind of GTO can beat GTR 33 and both are stock .. Maybe can beat GTR 34 .. stock GTO MR runs 1/4 in 12.8 and it's has 280HP

most 3000gt are incredibly slow the stock turbos suck because they are small ihi turbos that flow no cfm. there are some fast ones out there and they take to mods well especially bigger turbos but there biggest problem is weight they are ridiculously heavy. without going crazy you can do 12's with one but any faster gets expensive

Do u know the GTR 34 is heavier than GTO!!?? ..

The GTR 34's wieght is 3968 lbs and the GTO's wieght is 3737 lbs .

3000GT 97 VR-4 runs to 60mph in 4.7s and to 1/4 in 13.6s .

3000gts/GTOs are about as fast as a LT1.

an no 3000gt/GTO is as fast as a GTR any GTR, even though a gtr would get walked by a stock c5. sorry.

few 3000gts/GTOs break 14s stock.

some weight up to 3800+ pounds. the GTRs weigh under 3450 pounds.

the r32 runs low 13s and weighs UNDER 3300 pounds.

the FASTEST is a 10 second car?

we have a 8.51 lS1right here, and it's a CONVERTIBLE.

as far as DRAG CARS? theres a 1230hp drag radial r33 in the 8s.

so rry the GTO (aka 3000gt) is a BOAT.

700hp is nothing at all, pathetic for the "fastest"

VR-4s/GTOs/whatever you want to call them, will never be as fast a drag car as Mustangs, F-Bodies, Supras, and Y-Bodies simply because of the fact that they're AWD. They lose so much power through the drivetrain, and the AWD drivetrain tacks on too much extra weight. They just aren't good for dragging.

The fastest is in 10s? 10s really aren't anything to brag about. THe Mustang mod motor has long been in 6s, the LT1 has broken 7.2s, and the LS1 is currently in 8.5s

I have raced a 3000 GT VR4 ... and they are not that quick. I believe they are low-mid 14's stock. However, I have no idea what that means to you since I could not decipher the remainder of your post.

speaking of VR-4's, I knew the 4's were boats but not that pathetic and for the price of one what $40+

I smoked a VR-4 in my old LT1 TA which was runnin 13.5's. From about a 50 roll up to 100 = 4-5 lengths. If DSM would have put as much money into making them fast as they did the appearance, they would've really had something.

VR-4's and Stealths aren't DSMs. DSMs are eclipses, talons and lasers.

I love coming to this racing forum each day and learning about all the STOCK cars that my STOCK car has the capability of beating. I have shut up more than a couple of people here at work that thought their cars were fast after gathering intel on this site. We have a nice deserted four lane about 1/2 mile from work where I show them. Thanks fellas!

actually 3000gt's are dsm's methos. they are made by dodge and mitsubishi just like the e/t/l and just like the conquest/ starion they are all diamond star motors vehicles

Okay, in summary, VR-4s are pretty okay cars. They can put a lot of power down, and are faster than the average car when modded. They look pretty nice, and they're AWD, which is cool.

However, coming onto an LS1 site and talking about how fast and great they are is really not a bright thing to do, considering the LS1 F-Body pretty much rules the streets of America.
