So, I finally got around to watching the videos. Car pulls hard. But if you're claiming 112-113 mph traps in good weather but yanking on 112-114 mph M3's like that, I don't know. It's also possible you caught the M3 in a bad spot. What mph was the roll? For a M3 to really keep up it needs to be in the right gear and at a high rpm. If not then that's what happens. I remember a video a few months ago of a bolt on G8 running an M3 from a 40 roll and a 70 roll. 40 roll he ate the M3 up. From a 70 roll the M3 pulled. The LS cars make alot more power and torque down low, whereas the M3 doesn't make peak power until 8k rpm. So rolling from 45-4700 rpm is no where near the capabilities of the S65 (E92 M3 engine). I say good runs. But on that Cobra kill. Eh, good job. Who the **** knows what bs he was spitting when he claimed 480.

It was somewhere around a 40 roll for the M3. First run the cobra started in third, which was too high, second run (both 40 rolls) he started in second which is just where it needs to be. He "claimed" a number so who knows. It was also a bad driver on a hot day. I guess Heatons never heatsoak?

I've seen pulley Cobra's put down 470+ rwhp on the dyno, unless they have full bolt ons to go with it...it's a hopped up dyno.

As much as I like to **** with Ford guys.... Cobras are not over rated.

They are by far the best bang for buck car you could get... I mean those ******* engines are indestructible... It's amazing what you could do with them.

My buddy down here got one with the bumper crashed for $8k. Threw in about $5k in mods and repairs and the thing was at like 480-490rwhp. Would pull my bolt on SS by buses.

I actually thought about buying a 03-04 cobra if i could daily drive it. After driving them although they are great cars and LOTS of potential just didnt work out for me. I have to agree i dont think they are overated, i think when they lose everyone points the finger at them and says see see it lost so there its not as fast as most people think. The car is about 3700-3800lbs and 440-470 rwhp is still fast in my book. Ported blower and full bolt ons and you could get them past 500+rwhp. For what you can buy them for and the amount of abuse the motor can take ford did a great job with them. Every car has its pros and cons.

Not by far at all dude. C5Z06 is right there in the "Bang for your buck" section. It might even be better (only because of the road course abilities if you are into that kinda thing)

LMAO I noticed that too. Saw the driver of the cobra and said to myself "yup, that's why he lost."

Starting that war up again, are we?

BTW, nice runs OP...when you have a race where you win by driving experience, people are always going to call BS. Just gotta take it with a grain of salt. Been there before.

it just means I'm doing it right so I'm happy. And if you guys think he is fat, you should have gotten a look at his girl riding shotty.

^ oh what the hell, I'll play. A SRT-8 anything with the same mods as me would get flat out murdered and a Mach 1? Lets not sink to that level

Good kill op.

Have to say covra was a surprise but the m3 was not. Ive dustes a 2011m3 in my car. Fact is we have more torque 3**>290tq. M3 was designed as a track car on road courses were torque only matters exiting a turn.
Cobra had to be a shitty driver enough said.

I agree with the c5z06 being nasty but man them cobras you can really make em run with just such few mods.
