Default 402 C5Z06 vs New GTR

Finally got a chance to race a stout *** car. New GTR!!! From a dig!!! Light goes into a sweeping turn then bam wide open tunnel! He had been trying to keep up with me on the highway before we stopped which didnt work well for him. So light turns green and we go kinda short shifted into second around the sweeping turn as I can't corner as well with the drag radials so he was out a car around the bend. Hit it in second get back to even. Third pull about 2-3 cars shift into 4th till about 125 shut down about 4 cars out. Not to bad considering that was all his race not mine. Add another car without that sweeping turn. Would have been worse from a roll!

Good kill, those GTRs are hard to beat at similar power levels no matter what. Those damn transmissions+AWD turn the thing into a beast.

Good kill man. It's gotta be hard as hell to find modded cars in Cali to race.

Probably depends on where you are. Also emissions are a big factor where you guys are.

There are sooo many ways around that. lol From Sac to the Bay to LA, plenty H/C, blown, turbo, nitrous, stroker everything. Despite our strict emissions laws Cali has plenty of modded vehicles. Just go to our tracks or street meets, they're there!

No track times yet. Only had it back a couple months now. Will be running it this summer for sure. Have a built diff with 4.10's shipping to my buddies in WA for when I move back up there next week. Being able to hit 115 in third and 160 in 4th with these tall tires and rev limiter is a waste. I never go that fast anyway. I am hoping to make it at least into the 10's this year. Trapping around 130 would be nice too.

Yup always some way to get around it. BUt moving back to WA I wont have to go around anything. Got to love not having to worry about smog laws!

those were only in 01, so good luck man. Also, unless you were going to mod up right away, they are a touch slower than the 02+
