383 Supercharged fox vs Turbo ls1 TA. Vid inside My buddy and I decided to line em up.
-89 Hatch-SBC 383 stroker with a Vortech V3 on 6~7lbs and stalled TH400.
-My mods are in my sig, my is car detuned from my sig numbers to ~600whp/600tq
-chase car is cam only ls1 notch. put 400 down on a mustang dyno.
First run is a 40 roll. im in third and didnt brake boost, big mistake. he took the hit (bigtime) and by 130(top of 4th) i pulled back to his passenger door and then we let out. hard to see that at the end though
Second run. 50 roll. im in third again but i brake boosted this time around. He took the hit again and by 130 i had a half-3/4 of a car on him.
When i get 3.50s in the rear i should be able to pull away easier. 4th is the money gear, its where i pulled away in that second race and made up lost ground in the first but his car is really damn fast so im not taking that away from him. Were 1-1, guess we'll have to go at it again soon. He's getting a smaller pulley and im turning up the boost, so we'll see how that goes.

tell me about it. that was the first time i had ever tried it! I cant wait to really figure out the car's power band. When it was cam-only i knew exactly where to start every race, with some more seat time i should be good to go.

Hah youre still salty about the one time i jumped. Eric got the hit on me in BOTH of these races and i managed to win one of them.
There was another TA with us and at one point all of our cars were lined up and we all started laughing cus they are all chevy powered and 3 of the 4 cars were ls1's haha

Thanks. Its probably a good thing you didnt come, the car was down 90% of the day. it really only started coming together after 5pm and a few people had come and gone by that point. Ill have it here in cbus in the fall, we'll all have to get together then.
