Slobalt vs S\C Ls1.....the reason u need a tire Yeah, u read it right.....The cobalt strikes again...
I have seen this guy every day drivin to work (along with a s/c miata I pulled on and cammed goat I mentioned in another thread I gave hell too (Will calls the Cobalt a *****). Gorgeous red SS that doesn't sound stock. He drives as "spirited" as me so I figured I could get him to run or at least let me hear his sweet exhaust at full throttle.
After days of seeing himm, we finally get a clearing...I'm ready for the *** whuppin. He let's me beep: we arfe at 30mph (sweet spot) beep beep beep.....pshhhhhhhht.....Um, I pulled a car....bang a gear, pretty much keep it, I see him startin to make it up but were doin 110 so we let off....rinse/repeat....same thing.
Wtf?
I get to his window and ask what he has. Just a vortech........on balding 275 DD tires. He said he spun everytime. No doubt its what happend. I'm not here to say tghe slobalt is whuppin on 400hp cars BUT I am sayin watch out for the unsuspecting. I spin a big from anything under a 40 but its all freight train after that.
When he was done tellin me what he had and what he wants to do next winter, he threw in the obligatory "WTF is that thing?"
"fkn thing moves out, I'm drivin around this loud *** SS makin all kinds of trouble and your in your lil 4door pissin people off
I laughed and repeatedly said sweet *** car and told him about my hugger.....cool guy. Sweet car.
Remember guys (and to my neighbor who just put down 420hp on street tires) get some tire under your ride or get pulled by grocery getters.....
To the noobs: slobalt traps 105-107 repeatedly and runs mid-high 13. Its a roll racer in all aspects of the word

It sure is a *****, it's getting more action than the previous 3 Michael Bay movies combined. Good kill and it just foes to show that power doesn't win races all the time. Got to be able to put it to the ground first and foremost.

Yes Will.....really thought his 275s would hook but when I beeped and jumped out, I was like WTF?
Cobalt goes no doubt but he shulda yanked me.
My camaro with mickies would embarrass the cobalt.
Too lazy to pust but I. Gave the goat a headache and pulled away from the miata few days ago too....funny cuz I see these guys errrrrday on my hour commute

I bet he's on summitracing.com right now saying "can't let that **** happen again" while ordering some mickey's
BTW, I finally got some action. Killed a Kia Forte Koup that wanted to go from a dig against my 135i. It was a total puppy kicking that's not worth the last two sentances I typed.

like i always said "spinning anit winning"..from a 12.2 that my car was doing got consitently sold the slicks now im doing 13.0

Cars need tires AND driver. I was driving my dad's 335i home while my buddy drove my TA home from the shop. We lined up at about 35 and took off, and he couldn't get traction to save his life, and by 90 I let up with him about 4 cars back since he was just feathering the throttle non stop. Also didn't help that elevation back in my hometown is about 4600' lol.
