Cool runs. A buddy has a K20 n/a civic that runs low-mid 12's. Car is gutted completely. I mean even the doors and stuff. But it surprises a lot of people at the track.

The k20a needs to be in a much lighter chasis IMO. The ep3 is just a little to heavy, but thank god he got rid of the k20a2 lol. And that D motor needs a real tune, but I would take a wild guess of maybe 220-250 hp. Was it a EF? Si trans or some low geared eco model trans? Good kills man.

Yeah my buddies old bolt on k20a2 EG ran a 12.6 with a 1.9 60ft but it had full doors dash and seats and stuff just cut in certain areas and tricks.

Well the motor they come with from factory is the k20a3 (160hp to the flywheel) the k20a2 is the rsx-s k20. the k20a is a HUGE difference the header/intake manifold/exhaust/intake and kpro makes a huge difference aswell. It runs better than i thought to be honest. The D-series is in an EG hatch with carbon fiber hood and trunk. Not sure what trans it has but its a fun *** car, he has a seperate block hes getting together plans to make over 400 with it, when its done itll get ALOT of people mad. thanks!

My bad, you are right, the bastard child k20a3 was in the ep3. I don't know why they didn't put the a2 in it. I know how k20s are, my buddies was in a full weight eg hatch, and went 14.2 at 100 I think at SIR.....so more then likely 5000 DA lol. For reference my car there with lid and cutout only went 14.1 at 102 in 5800 DA at that track.....both of us had 2.3 60's iirc. We ran randomly back home once (even WORSE DA), and with 2 passengers, he was pulling me in 2nd, then when he had to shift I pulled back and got about 2.5 cars on him by the top of third (same set up as my 14.1 run).

The EP3 was a disaster of a car on every level except looks IMO lol. I wish they still made hatches.

I liked the EP3, the odd shifter placement was actually quite comfortable, I liked the looks, just the bastard k20 is what really killed it for me. I don't know how strong the trans were, and were they offered with a LSD?

lol i actually wanted one to throw an a2 in and boost it but screw that owning a honda in this city is like owning a giant neon light over your car that says "STEAL THIS PLEASE" its bound to happen. They stole my neighbors auto 4 door 2000 EK just for the front -_-.

lol yeah there really really fun cars. Can beat on them all night and itll run just as good the next day. Jesus that DA is death lol. I plan on running a buddies k20z3 in an CX (2000lbs) EG hatch with intake header exhaust and tuned on E85 so it should be interesting.

That k20z3 better whoop your *** lol, unless he can't get it to hook. And dude I live in Mesa, tegs and eg/ek's are stolen out the *** up here. A quote to replace our 99 ek coupe with my mom's 05 4 door ex only jumps insurance up by like $1 every six months since it's not a higher risk stolen car lol.

I wish i lived out in a place where Honda's didn't get stolen. I would've bought my buddies K-hatch for 6k.

I used to have a 91 DA as a daily. Lowered, DC headers, GReddy exhaust, AEM CAI... thing was a fun little car. Definitely nothing I'd try to race though. The b18a1 in it was probably the most reliable engine I've ever had so far.

Then again I just got my WS6, so... who knows.

Haha im in the same shoes, id have to agree honda motors will run FOREVER. Stock b18s aren't even worth moding with bolt ons IMO, shoulda through a turbo kit on it made high 2's and you'd have a fun *** daily!

I love my new car though.

I wouldn't mind doing a b18b NA build....I would do something stupid like vtec killer cams or some ****, and some gnarly compression mixed with a b16 trans. Stupid to drive on the street, but **** it would be fun

You held a record, or close to, didn't you for 1/4 times with a stock GSR?
