Default My Turbo LS1 TA vs 410W Mustang on spray*** vids

First night out with the new turbo build. Couple fun runs. My tires are useless i spin my *** off unless I'm in 3rd gear it seems. 1st run i whiffed bad and he got way out ahead of me. 2nd run he didn't spray and i started in 3rd :/... 3rd run i started in 2nd gear and he hit the nitrous, i got kind of squirrley stayed in it and when i shifted it kicked out pretty good and i let off. On the way home neither of us had a camera man and we tried again with his bottle on. He held about a half car when i started in 3rd but he said he was having clutch issues unfortunately....Car is currently on 7- 8 psi, so i would guess 500-520 rwhp.. cant wait to crank it up Apparently the Nitto NT05R's are not up to the task. Time for some 28" mickeys on my race stars!

That Fox is nasty but man your car is sick! Nothing like a turbo LSx for a street car. Care to share details on your engine? IE what block did you start with and what heads are you running? Forged internals?

Get some tires and turn the boost up, smoke em and get a vid of it please sir.

Pretty much what was in the description but i will go into details for you or anyone else who cares..

LQ9 block, Mahle coated pistons, Callies rods, stock crank, coated bearings, ARP main and head studs, stock 317 heads, Speed INC Tu1 camshaft, LS6 intake

Kentucky Turbo and Performance hotside, Precision PT76GTS turbo, custom cold piping. Currently on wastegate which is SUPPOSED to be 11psi but I'm only seeing 8psi at the manifold, i think this has to do with referencing the waste gate off the compressor cover

Lonnies performance double pumper with -8 feed and -6 return, custom front end setup with speed INC fuel rails.

Built T56 trans, SPEC 3 clutch, Moser 9" rear with 3.73's... On c5 wheels now with nitto drag radials, going to make the switch to my racestars with a taller tire, also want to knock the gear ratio down to a 3.55

Yeah I was about to say why such a short final drive? I would think something like a 3.08 would give much better spool time.

Any future plans for the car? How do you like the T56 with a turbo?

Also have you made any 1/4 passes with that setup?

I LITERALLY just got the car out tonight. Before 3pm today it only had a base tune and had never gone WOT .... I'm still learning what she likes, where the sweet spots are etc ... I think a 3.55 and a 28" tire would be a good combo, with the 3.73's i don't have much time to sit in boost before i have to shift. As far as future plans, I'm not sure. Just got the car running a week ago, try and enjoy it as much as i can right now. I would like to kick it up to 17-18 PSI. Love the 6sp and i will try to keep it alive for as long as possible, when this clutch ***** the bed i would like to get a McLeod twin.

That Mustang isn't a Fox, it's a SN95.

What's this? A fast SN95? Good runs! 3.27's or 3.55's with a taller tire would make it a whole new animal with less spinning as a bonus.

Once you get used to the car and figure out what it likes, you're gonna have a monster on your hands.

Nice... before you get those Mickeys you should try a set of Toyo R888. Your in the 500 hp range so this should do the job. I had them on my Supra pushing over 800 rwhp.

Well I'm in the 500 hp range because I'm on 7-8lbs.... I'm adding another 10psi ... appreciate the suggestion though

Toyos ******* suck. They're just like nittos.

All camaros 4th and 5th are spin-lovers. They do not obey any physics logics when it comes to traction and not spinning. They all spin their *** off. I'm worried I may even break loose with mickeys on the car. I do have slicks though but don't want to wear them out on the street.

You need mickeys.
