Default My friends 02 GT 2V Doing work again a few GM rides.

So this is a buddy of mine. 02 Mustang GT.

4.6L. 2V Heads/Cams/Kenne Bell

Runs are in about 2000 DA. He's still getting the car dialed in. But here are a few runs. A pretty bad car if you ask me. This is NOT a cobra. It is a 2V GT. He just put the cobra badges and such on it.

EDIT: Added more videos.
All runs at Thompson Raceway Park. Thompson, OH

Roughly 600rwhp. The shortblock and the supercharger are built to run on 26lbs of boost. He's only running 15 right now. Just shows what can be done with a 2V. No compromise in streetability.

This car is also 100% full weight. He has skinnies but he also picked up at least that amount of weight back with his mods.

I'll pass along the compliments. Once he gets it into the 10's, the weight reduction starts. Not sure when we plans on running his 26 lb pulley. Should be insane.

This car was built by Powerhouse in Girard, PA.

It's impressive to me. Still full weight. Still 4.6 liters. Only a 2.6 blower.

He also has to be careful for now. Stock rear end, stock driveshaft, stock cobra transmission.

Nice for a 2 valve, but wouldn't say it's "doing work against GM rides" a FWD Monte and looked like the 3rd gen came around it on the big end. Regardless the car moves out, I'd like to see it once it's on 26 lbs.

LOL, I only put that in there because this is a KILL section and I didn't want the thread deleted, locked or moved.

Haha, I figured I'd get quite a few of those 2V comments for posting this one.

I think with more seat time, 10.9 is possible. Add in his planned weight reduction and some better DA and 10.6-10.7@131-ish should be possible. Maybe even better, who knows. I'll post up more vids as they come.

I have no clue what this car would do @ 26 lbs of boost. I'm pretty sure he has to beef things up a bit before he goes to that level.

Car moves out well. I hope to be trapping around there with the turbo slapped on. He's going to need some serious octane to run that blower on 26psi. I don't think I have heard of a 2v running that high with a KB.

His bottom end was built by Fox Lake. Built to handle 1000+rwhp. Blower is a 2.6 KB, fully capable of running 26 lbs. The heads are CNC's PI from fox lake and the cams are comp cams (not sure of the specs).

What are the specs on your build?

All the money you spent on your GTO could have put a lot of cars, including an LT1 into the 9's.

And I'd be willing to bet, when you include purchase price, he doesn't have much more in his car than you do. Maybe less. That's like telling someone who bought a 2012 5.0 or a 2012 SS that they could have just put an LSX into the 9's.

So stop being a troll.

You have to give it some credit. It would give a stock Mach 1 a run for its money.

And you can't say he'd "drag me" like you have been saying to all the ls1 and lt1 guys on here lol.

Impressive car tbh. People need to get this ricer **** mentality out of their head that "your spent x money could have been spent on this." Yeah well if I wanted to be a ****** I would've spent $80 on a ******* gay *** civic and run 9s all day but I'd still be a ****** at the end of the day.

But still... This 2v is nothing when compared to a mach1.
