Anyone can make a DSM fast in the same way that anyone can make an LSx or Honda fast.
Crankwalk was only an issue on 7-bolt cars and even then, it's relatively rare.
And no one welds transmissions. Drag guys weld the center diff to smooth out the launch and prolong driveline life.

That's MUCH slower than the fastest DSM. If you knew anything about drag racing, you'd know that AWD doesn't help, it hurts on the track... which why the fastest DSMs are RWD.
What does that 800rwhp S2000 run? Probably slow as **** because it takes a weekend to spool and doesn't make enough torque to tighten lug nuts.
Is that your car in the video?

My build would/will last? My Talon ran when I sold it. Actually, it ran for over two years on that setup, even when I sold it. Can you say the same?

Lol...these all know it all dsm masters. Well my stock block dsm making 500+hp on 93oct and has been running for 2 years daily driven will walk anything on a daily basis. Crank walk is something dumb *** would say that doesn't know any better.

hmm..mirage $75, rebuilt stock motor $500, assembled the rest with spare parts laying around the shop= 400hp on 93oct @ 22psi on a mustang dyno and walking 600s on the highway. Now 6262 turbo, bigger ic and a ems car makes 560hp @ 26~27psi 600hp @ 30~32psi and is a 140+ trap car. Still on the same motor over 2years later, doesnt burn oil, grind gears or make weired noises. So when did i spend loads of money?

My stock bottom end 6 bolt made 530whp on 30lbs and e-85, fun little car for sure!

Theres a couple of local DSM's (well one DSM and one Evo) they spend their evenings dragging plenty of other labels down the road. IIRC the DSM (mid 90's galant vr4) is making around 700whp and the Evo is making a little over 900whp. Point being, anything with enough time and money can be fast. Respect needs to be given where its due.
