to race or not to.?
I work with a guy, who wants to race for 500$. he has a f150 Harley-Davidson supercharged truck. he claims makes 410hp and that he beat his friends Srt8 and tb ss. should I race him in my bolt on lt1, yes or no. could use the $ for rent, but don't want to lose it.

Usually when people with trucks come out and challenge you for money they have a lot more than they are claiming. I would get eyes on his engine and ask around about his truck before I would commit to anything.

Nice kill. I like the part where he went WOT and jumped before the 3rd honk...
What year is it? I know the 02 ones made something like 340hp supercharged. The new ones make 411hp NA. The old 02s ran something like mid 14s stock at 95ish.
Race em for something you could afford to lose in case he's modded. If its the newer one, that makes 411hp... Those are quoted at 15.1 @ 92.
Whats your LT1 run and trap?

isnt the Harley F150 the newer ones heavier(5700-5800lbs) then the Jeep SRT or the SS Trailblazer. If it only has 411hp and beat cars with 395hp and 425hp then it has to have something done to it.

Set up a long race and you can't lose. My cousin's lightning made 430ish whp with either a #6 or #8 pulley, intake, exhaust, tune. We raced when I had my old ls1 formula and it was stock. I jumped out a car from a dig, he instantly pulled back and put 2 cars on me. Stayed that way until 90ish. I started walking away quickly after that. You can't lose if you run it out to 130+. The 99-04 lightning realistically weighed in around 4750-4900. The Harley truck is probably 5200lbs. Hope that helps

Ok. I use to race my dads 02 Harley against my TBSS when I had it & his mods were basically pulley swap, tune and exhaust. He would run side by side with me until 90-95 or so before I started a good pull. Unlike the Lightnings, the Harleys do hook a whole lot better.
From a dig if you're running a short distance you may be SOL especially if you can't launch.
From a roll you'll beat him up top. (IF HE'S BASIC BOLT-ON)
BUT
if you don't have the money to lose, don't do it because they can be quick.
