Maybe if we had a longer race I would close the gap. Our races are usually less than 1/8 mile.

If your race are less than an 1/8 mile you aren't giving your car a chance to catch him. And btw if you are doing a roll in an auto make sure you don't slow down from say 60-30 accelerate from 0-30 that way your trans WILL already be in first or at least downshift to first. That what a friend with a A4 T/A said helped him out.

Try shifting into first like stated before and run him again. It doesn't hurt to go out and practice either.

Less than an 1/8 from a 30 roll, does it ever shift out of 2nd? Run him up to 120 or 130, then tell us the outcome.
