I have a vortech supercharged 97 cobra and want to run a c5 z06 that isnt too heavily modded. I live in southern va off highway 85 right about the nc line so if there is anyone on here who is willing to run let me know. I also would be willing to run a cammed ls1 if anyone is close who has one.

The only time I ran the car was in the 1/8th and doing 1 wheel peels it went 8.1 @ 94mph with a 2.2 60ft

To be honest that l would make sure you sort out traction before running one and I think you would beat a stock/near stock c5z.

Last Blown 96-98 Cobra I ran was "SVTHOTY" in OC MD.


I have seen cars like the OP run high to mid 11s at 117-120MPH on Drs so a near stock Z would be a good race

I'm gonna redo the whole rear soon with a 31 spline differential and axles so it will hold up this time, but if I do find a race before then I would prefer a roll but will still run a dig.

Good god...have seen those cars with bolt ons and drag radials break axles....get axles,carrier,weld your axle tube and get a girdle as your next mod!!

Ugh, I wish you were closer! good luck, I think you should take a stock one pretty easily. there is a local here with a 96 cobra with a turbo making like ~490 and he wants to beat up on my bolt on car

We had to stop meeting there too many riced out cars.. Now we meet in Virginia Beach at a restaurant called jenros, Its a decent turnout but not what it used to be.

Most of the racing here is done from a roll, im sure you can find a decent run.
