Default 02 Z28 vs. CBR600

So I'm cruising out in my newly tuned 452/413 2002 z28 when two pesky street bikes decided to play around with me. Anyways were at like a 45 roll and I hit it and it was by bye 600. I instantly took a car and held it and probably gained more fore sure. He was a ways behind me. Anyways we pull up to a light down the road and my window is down and he is like WTF you have in there. I reply just a HC LS1 and he is like HOLY that thing is fast. I said thanks...lol. I guess he was surprised to get walked while on his bike. Anyways I'm very much enjoying the new found power from my HCI swap. Pulls like a freight train.

If you took anything "instantly," I can guarantee he was in the wrong gear. You would probably pull at higher speeds, but you *shouldn't* down that low. His fault though, good kill.

Good kill for sure.
What year CBR600? And is your Z28 nearly full weight? If it was a F4i or newer, that rider was one big heavy dude or started in the wrong gear.

Wrong gear - nice rider. Nothing slow about a H/C LS1, but any 600 that is 2000 and newer won't lose on a roll like that when properly ridden.

I wouldnt say wont lose. Its unlikely... but doesnt mean the car cant win. Theres really no details on either vehicle. The bike should have jumped out on him pretty good but at some point him chase it down up top

The bike should jump out from 40mph. From 60 it should be a tight race.

Who knows, the rider might have weighed 250+ and was riding the **** out of the bike. Or perhaps the OP was racing a CBR600 F2 or F3. That I could easily believe a 450whp '02 Z28 getting the win.

Agreed with above points...

2000+ is F4i or 600RR ('03+)
45mph roll, when PROPERLY driven, the bike will take the car to at least 130mph. After that the 600s run out of steam and the car should be able to chase him down.

This car vs bike is really beat to death here, so I won't carry on much further. Any 600 rider who races past 140mph is asking to get beat. Good kill either way.

So true. I doubt my full bolt on f4i could pull my bolt m3 from 130+. Anything before that the bike will easily leave my m3.

I honestly couldn't tell you about what gear he was in...but he was definitely surprised about the car. I have never raced a street bike but it was all fun. Not starting a bike vs. car match...

The bike didnt look like something that was 2000 or new. I vaguely think I saw F3 but who knows.

Nice kill. I had a 2011 cbr600rr try mess with me last night. He came chasing me. He got pulled both times. Stopped and talked after. He said he seen me turn and heard car though sounded good. He didn't think he was going to get walked away from by a car.
