Default Thought I might be fighting above my weight class

4 cars came out to play in Canada this morning, a '13 GTR with the Schwitzer 800 hp package, an Evo modded 650 hp 997 Porsche with the PDK tranny, a Ford GT with a 3.4 L Whipple making 767 rwhp, and my small block Z06 with a 100 shot of nitrous, making 680 SAE RWHP.

From a roll nothing could keep up with my Z (well, until my nitrous ran out).

From 60-120 I put 3-4 cars on the GTR, from a 45 roll I put cars on the P car without the nitrous.

I didn't get to run the Ford GT till I was too low on nitrous, only 3 pounds in the bottle, and he got me by a car or two from a 45 roll.

Now from a dig (no tires or traction for me) they'd all open 5 + cars on me at the start and I'd go by the P car at about 130, but ran out of road before running down the GTR.

Great fun and vids to go up soon.

Stock motor P800? I could see that. Built motor, not so much.

Schwitzer 800hp haha. Schwitzer is probably a cheap knock-off of Switzer. J/k, good kills.

Anyways built motor or not, wouldn't make much of a difference. "P" in P800 stands for pump gas, and the whole turbo setup is based on that. Everything in that package is designed to achieve the most power with stock-like spool & linear delivery on pump gas that the engine/drivetrain can handle. It is not necessary to build the engine or transmission. I asked about building my engine: $14,200 for the SPI (Switzer Performance Innovation) stage 1 engine build. According to the guys at Switzer the P800 turbos are good for ~780whp. So my P800 @ 740whp, wouldn't benefit much from a built motor plus E85 or race gas. At least not enough to justify spending 14 grand. They said I could upgrade to the SPI v2 turbos found on the R900 and E900, that setup would make around 820whp. Granted on a built motor they could be more aggressive with the torque delivery in the tune.... But is that enough to overcome the "claimed" 3-4 car lengths the OP put on the P800?

Personally, I think the P800 in the OP was running 91 octane that's the only reason it lost. Haha.

The P800 cars are deadly fast. However, a sprayed C6 Z06 is nothing to sneeze at either. OP how much spray were you using?

OK, I misspelled the tuner. Sue me. I'm running a 100 shot. Here's a vid where I get slaughtered at the launch by the Porsche (launch control, PDK, 5,000 rpm start Vs. launch at idle, no nitrous till second gear)

We're all running pump premium. Here at this altitude the best we can get is 91 octane.

Pretty sick... If I'm right.. The fastest Manuel c6 that will show a time slip is just a c6z on a 150 shot... Must be a handful to run that car from a dig without tire's

It all makes sense now. That P800 (more like P700) probably makes 630-650awhp on 91 octane. That car on 93 octane might have given you a better run. Your Z06 is fast. I love the yellow

Found a video of the GT-R you ran vs you:

I'm not doubting your words but how many times did you guys run because that looks like a 40-140 and he got you.
