Default Bolt on TBSS vs H/C Vortec max

I was leaving dinner Saturday night and a vortec max was blippin throttle. I figured it would be an easy kill untill i noticed it was my tuners truck lol. We got around some traffic and lined up from about a 30 roll. He took the hit and damn his truck left hard. I followed suit and ended putting a fender on him by the time we hit 85. We shut down and a motorcycle cop pulled up next to me yelling about something...idk he ended up driving off. I had 1 passanger and the vortec max had 2, he also said he accidentally filled up with 87 octane.

MY MODS: 4" CAI, efans, 160 tstat, full exhaust, 3000 stall, tune
HIS MODS: LS3 heads, cam, 300 stall, and im sure boltons.

Race him from a dig. That 300 stall is gonna kill him. Next time, how about telling us what the vehicle you raced is? Escalade? Silverado? Sierra? Avalanche? Yukon? Suburban?

I actually thought "Max" was the Malibu Max when you said it. Don't ever recall a truck with Max badging? not that I look though.

outcome is surprising. shouldn't even be that close. high 13 -low 14 sec full size truck vs a stalled 2wd TBSS? I used to run 13.5's all day long with my completely stock 2WD TBSS. Stalled and boltons it went 12.6's on street tires.

This was a heads/cam truck not a stock one. He also took a good jump and i didnt really have any problems reeling him in. I would assume his truck would run high 12's or close to it and my truck should run mid-high 12's but i have not been to the track yet to test that. Also, 13.5's in a stock TBSS is not the norm. Not saying you didnt run it, i ran a 13.86 in my old stock one but i had to let it cool off. Hot lapping made it a low-mid 14 sec truck.
