Default CTS-V vs M3 vs Cops

Ok I waited a while to post this, but its worth a read.

Back in march I was on I-95 in Virginia I was in my first gen V and a little coupe m3 wanted to race. I dropped the car into 3rd doing like 60 at maybe 3000 rpm and left his *** badly. Once I hit the breaks I was at around 120 when I see a cop sitting on the side of the road with his RADAR gun.. FML! I slam on the breaks as soon as I saw him, but the breaks weren't good enough. The m3 guy tested his luck and floored it and I tried to hit the nearest exit. Needless to say the m3 guy got away.

The cop naturally got behind me because I was the first one he saw and I pulled over once I knew a pull over was inevitable. Once the party lights came on I said to myself I'm definitely going to jail. The cop came to my window and said "why the hell are you going so fast?" I took it as if he didn't see the M3 so I said I had to get to North Carolina because of a family issue. He looked at me and just walked away lol.

Next thing you know he's coming back and he gives me a ticket. I'm thinking to myself hell yeah ima just get a ticket. The cop was like "you were doing 97 in a 55 when I saw you. That's a reckless driving citation and you have to appear in court. If I were you I'd get a lawyer!" Made me sign it and drove off.

Hired a crazy expensive lawyer and did countless searches on what to do. Lost a lotta sleep because I could of lost my job if convicted. But it pays to play. My lawyer was like the godfather in court and knew basically everyone. He was a Ivy League grad and was running for governor a couple of years back so he has a lot of respect over there.

Got it reduced to speeding with a cheap fine!!!

The moral of the story is... DON'T MESS WITH VA. Knowing what I know now I don't even drive in va unless its necessary. And 2000 some odd dollars later the m3 loses and the v1 loses too.

Thanks for reading

Its well known that VA are the worst officers around.
Isn't having a radar detector in VA considered illegal? Its one of like 2 states out of 50 that consider it illegal. They literally have radar detector-detectors. LOL

Speeding ticket better then getting your *** locked up, always.

i sat in jail for 3 days, 110mph in a 60mph, doing a speed run myself 4a.m. on a saturday morning, needless to say the only car that was on the freeway at that time was the cop i blew past while he was driving along at 60... cant see those new chargers yet... wrote me a ticket and told me nice car.. left and drove away.. i was pretty shaken when i blew past him thought he was gonna tow my car.. good thing he wasnt about 2 miles back when i was doing 150+ he caught me slowing down.. this in ohio.. my fine....$100 bucks haha. i was more pissed sitting in jail than the $100 bucks! but that gave me only 4 points since he didnt write it as "wreckless operation"...... but that sir @ hioSSilver is crazy!

I went to Jail in Houston for 2 days while waiting for them to post bail for 110 in 55. Fought in court and got them to do a judification. Basically no trouble for 6 months it gets thrown out. With lawyer/court cost/made to donate to crimestoppers/car towed paying that and getting out of storage/ 6 differnet 4.5 hour trips to houston for court cost me a little over 3500.

I guess they have to pay for them new Camaro's and Charger cop cars some how.

I once got a ticket on my 07 ninja zx6r for 90 in a 20 college school zone, while riding a wheelie in a turning median at night with a motorcycle permit only (cant ride after dark with a permit). I figured I was goin to jail. Cop walked up and the first thing he did was thanked me for stopping. Said he was working on a accident in the school parking lot and he watched the whole thing. I didnt lie and he let me off with a warning. Aah good Ole North Dakota

back country desolate roads are the place. not the major interstates.... locals aren't sitting on those "in the middle of nowhere" roads. the interstate police have only one job. locals are doing everything, that's one of the last things on their minds. Willpower is a virtue lol

That's why most of us go to MD to have fun. And you only have to worry about RDD near the border of Va usually.

Sorry but there is no such device... I have beat two radar ticket issues in VA. I am prior military and went really deep in the FAA rules and regulations and pointed out that no State can but a ban on something they don't own... It was a fun day in court and the judge agreed totally and threw the case out. Its not easy to beat but you can. I keep my radar detector up and running all the way to Atlanta when i head south...lol. Haven't had an issue in VA since about my radar detector...lol

I blew past a cop at 90 in a 60 on the service road of the tollway. I ended up slingshoting around a U turn in an underpass, ran her up to about 155mph, made a couple turn offs and was home free.. this was a few years back and I'm not going to give location.... Hehehe
