For a split second there between :55-:56, I thought that Civic was headed straight to a guard rail

Pulling a GT-R is definitely impressive

Yeah man those cars get wild at high speeds. My buddies piston and rod k20 had trouble keeping up with this GTR one night. This hatch is the first FWD car to beat that gtr. It consistently traps 138-139 the way it sits.

Haha same here. Hell I remember a buddy's old Civic from HS that was a boosted D16 and he couldn't even catch traction for the life of him

Can't really tell if its a CX or a DX but a CX is about 2100lbs with A/C and all, this car doesn't have A/C and has some things done to get the weight down. Forgot how heavy a DX is i think its like 2280 or something.

Thats what happens when you don't know what your doing as far as traction. Another guy on here has a mustang shop and they dig a 129mph crx on the street all day.

Haha told you down here we know how to setup civics. Fairly low roll too, for a 5xxwhp civic on street tires. The guys also down to dig on the street. Im pretty sure he was in 3rd gear at 45 too.

Curious on tires and transmission. Seem like he berried the speedo a little fast, JDM KPH cluster or something? Going deep into 5th like that is a no no for me most of the time.

Is that PDV's GT-R? That must be a serious civic to run him down if so.

Yeah that's PDV's car, thing is VERY hard to beat on the street. Guys super chill too, so not really trying to post this to put his car down in any way. I was just impressed how good the hatch is running on street tires and wanted to share it with you guys, since theres so many badly setup civics out there.

Yeah, he still has a bit of work to go. He has been doing very well for himself though. We actually hated each other at one point during HS because of girl drama, but we saw each other at the strip this summer and started shooting the **** again.

He started out with a small shop, bought a dynojet from another shop that went out of business dirt cheap, and is now upgrading to a nice large facility.

Considering expanding out past Hondas and imports. He has done some basic work on LS cars as well. He bought an FC RX7 and is working with me to try and find an LS swap for it

lol sounds alot like my tuner ( he has an LS6 FC), you can't be closed minded when it comes to tuning EFI cars. He's known for his Honda work but he calls himself an "EFI specialist" cause he will tune anything with a set of injectors. Hes tuned ALOT of wicked ****. Whats your buddies name? Is he on honda-tech?

Sean. I have no clue what his SN would be on Honda Tech. I'd have to ask him. To my knowledge, he has a buddy who does the tuning. He doesn't really do the tuning work, he just does most of the installs and builds.

Regardless, pretty cool to see a small shop with a handful of friends with a passion for cars take off. There are a **** TON of Honda/Acura guys in Des Moines, so they definitely found their niche market
