Front wheel ricers! :) I just watched the vid of the honda with 700 and something loose rice beat a zx14. I found it rather amusing , and thought I could add an opinion. Power to weight ratio goes a long way, and mph is only good for bonnevile.
At the 1/4 or on the highway in Mexico,
, I will bet my house, zx14, unborn kids and the lot. You better bring 8.31 and 164 mph on motor, and I wont mention the baby bottle. By the time your turbo wakes up, ill be letting off at the end. Haha, the video was funny. Make sure to tell your pal riding the 14 to duc a little, and actually downshift. He looks like he's going through the isles pushing a shopping cart.

Well regardless if the rider was a squid or not... It is obvious someone can't ride a bike when they take the hit and don't pull any distance. A 600 with a good rider would have jumped out a length or two with the hit.
I don't consider a pretty much stock looking Civic with 700+Hp "rice".
As for the other side of the coin with you... Power and weight do go a long way. But you have to remember aerodynamics play a big part as well.
Last.. Why did you come here of all places (an ls based forum) to tell a Civic owner to tell his bike buddy to downshift and to tuck? At what point did you think this was the place for that?

Im aware of fast 4 bangers, but it better be making alot more than 700 hp to even ride along beside. I've raced EZ Street Mustangs and Camaros, who beat me by a tenth or two, but they're making healthy power with track chassis setups.

Because I found the video posted on here(LS forum), and im entitled to say my opinion. Last time I checked. And if its any merit, I too own an LS1. Non the less, I said what I had to say.

Civic trapped 147mph... That is moving out pretty good. Isn't that right on par with a Zx14 runs bone stock? Throw in an average rider and it is less than that... Couple that on some high speed runs where the car has more advantage... Sounds about right.
You can sit here and say I'll get my modded Zx14 out all day long.. Plenty of Civics out there that would walk off from you.

I like my cage, but bikes are a different breed. When you carry a wheelie on a long wheelbase turbo bike @ 150 mph and make it out unscaved, then ask me if bikes are boring?

2012 stock zx14 traps 158 mph. Ive roll raced big power supras making 1100 hp, and i had them, but nothing huge by any means. Im yet to find a civic that I can say beat me. And I see all the crazy hi hp civics doing crazy mph at the track, but do I see them running low 8s or even low 9s, not soo much. BUT I STAND CORRECTED, AND MY OFFER STANDS.
