I've seen dozens of 5.0s over the last couple of decades with nearly identical combos (TFS1 or B303). All were easy low-mid 12 second cars, but only trapped 105ish. Probably only 270-280rwhp.

If he hooks, you'll be chasing him until the top of 3rd.

^^^ agree with the hooking statement. I have a feeling your going to play catchup. Here is my experience with a very similar car, a tiny cam lt1, and me : even I played catchup, both myself and the lt1 car had horrible traction issues.

His setup sounds like a youtube build. You will win pretty devastatingly. My guess is his car makes 250-260whp. Get it on vid and post up the kill! Good luck

My thoughts exactly. In my experience guys who post every single little mod including things that really don't effect the cars performance, like certain motor oil or certain spark plugs, usually do that for "hopeful horsepower". Go to a non performance vehicle forum and youlll see that all day long.

It sounds like it was built 15 years ago.

Sorry but no, if it was a gt40 head only car maybe, there have been many gt40 headed foxs that have dynoed 260+, with PORTED gt40s and a tfs1 it prolly makes 280+ and is good for mid to low 12s depending on the setup. If the car runs good, and doesnt weigh much youll be chasing.

so a stock 5.0 with just a gt40 head makes 250whp? Im well aware what can be done with an old sbf. Im also well aware of how easy it is to mix match parts and make **** for power on an old small block. If i told you my friend has an NA 306 that made 458 whp with hydro roller cam on 93 octane. Would you believe me?

i COMPLETELY agree ive seen countless alphabet cammed setups with gt40p heads make 450whp EASILY. Also many bolt on gt40p head only setups in the mid 3's.

Its quite obvious you arent "well aware", if you would like i can find you numerous links of gt40 headed cars making 260+rwhp, and one making 350+rwhp (race motor).

Pretty sure this car isnt just a "stock" 5.0 with gt40s thrown on, it says PORTED gt40s, which im sure has full exhaust at the very least along with a tfs1. I came from the 5.0 world, and still own one and i very much know what they are capable with "junkyard" parts.

You didnt answer my question. And FYI, when did I say anything about the HEADS being the reason this car wouldnt make big power? I also know what they are capable of with stock parts. Same guy who built the 458whp 306 has a stock parts 302 that makes 317whp. Stock untouched heads, stock cam, stock rotating assembly. Its a class car.

Like i said, the heads arent the problem in that build.

Pretty much agree with the above comments on if he has traction it'll be you playing catch up. I raced the same fox from the cwarta video and the fox jumped me out several lengths but it was a rapid pull after that as I reeled him by top of 2nd.
