5.3 S10 vs 4.6 mustang?
ok so im in the middle of a swap on my 2000 ext cab S10, its going to be a Cammed/stalled setup. 5.3 with a 4l80e sporting a 3200 Circle D stall with a 228r Comp, Shorty 1-5/8 Headers and maybe true duals (not sure). long story short, theres this guy that delivers newspapers at my job and we always talk cars and about how my build is going ect. and i think he has a 4.6l mustang. i thing its like a 95- 98 or something (its the ugly body style year LOL) i think he has a little work done to it like a catback/ headers ect. ( i have to find out next time i see him) but anyway, lately when i tell him what plans i have, he tries to downplay it by saying stuff like " it'll be a fun little truck, but it wont be that fast" and " hell my 4.6l may even whoop your trucks ***" its basically to the point where i just want to shut his *** up lol. i've always been the kind of guy to give credit when its due. what do you guys think about this lol?

LOL...if he really has a 2V 4.6 you better get a hitch on that S10 because you're going to tow his *** down the street.
BTW I built a 2000 S10 Xtreme ext. cab, swapped a 5.3 out of a 03 silverado. I used Sanderson headers, they fit good except I had to modify the steering shaft to clear them. I used the stock 4l60e from the S10 so the crossmember wouldn't need to be modified, just used the 65e parts from the silverado to bolt it up to the 5.3. It was a fun truck and I miss it.
Let me know if you run into any problems with your build, I may be able to help. Getting the wiring right to keep all the factory gauges was the hardest part.

Haha what an idiot, You will drag his ***, those 4.6 npi 2v cars are turds. On the other hand I hope he has something special in store that we dont know about so he drags your truck for your comment about the 94-98 body style being the "ugly" one ya douche

Great idea. I would take it a step further and barely beat him in the first race so he begs for a rematch... then dust him.

Both of these things . I still want to do a complete PI swap on a '96-'98 GT 5spd though, would make for a fun DD.
