Default 370 Trans Am VS 408 Trans Am (Dig/20 roll)**'11 5.0 GT VS 98 Ws6

Pewter Trans Am (me)- 370 stock l92 heads/stock l76 intake, 231/236 cam, 1 3/4 headers, 373s, PTC 3500, 3600#, suspension.. Made 437Rwhp with a 5000 converter.

Red Trans am- 408, FAST intake, ported 243s, full exhaust, suspension, unknown.. I will have the full mod sheet tomorrow.

He wanted the 20 roll:
I jumped out about 1-1.5 cars.. He pulled back around 40 up until 90 or so maybe 1 car and then we stayed there until we let out around 125mph.

I wanted a dig:
We both spun... This was the first time I have launched my car with the new setup. If you watch closely you can see my rear come out a little and then me let off.. Unfortunately I let out a little too much (been 2+ years I have launched a car like this). I got back in it and went about 1/2-2/3 throttle until I felt I could go WOT.
I pulled around 2 and he pulled back around 1 length from 30-90 or so again and then we stayed right there until 130-135mph.

I was wondering why he was pulling back so hard in the mid range... His mod list might tell differently... But right now I am contributing it to the over sized valves in the l92 heads and this converter being a little tighter for nitrous. It is allowing the car on motor to drop down and show the laziness of these heads in the mid range.. Top end he wasn't even inching on me so I think from a high 60mph roll or so I don't think he would pull back like he does mid range and I would continue my pull.

I changed a few things up after this race that I think was holding me back.. I wanted to get a run in first though to see how much they helped. I still need a new tune from the converter change.
Soon I am adding TSP 1 7/8 and a Chrs1313. I'm hoping for 15Rwhp from the headers.
After that I will port the heads/intake.

Sorry the footage isn't all that awesome.

O and no vid of the 5.0/Ws6.. It was a slaughter though.

I should have put Stock 11 5.0 GT VS stock 98 Ws6 in the thread... Would already be 8 pages..

And yes there was a black Ws6 next to the 5.0, ended up being like 6 lengths behind. His car is SLOW!! Lost to the stock TBSS by about 2 lengths.

Full video showing the Ws6 next to the 5.0.

Yes, same Ws6. It is a bone stock 98 with a retard driving it. Full bolt ons wouldn't even give him a W. LOL

Car runs like dog **** and has a retard driving it.... But the TBSS has its fair share of kills, it will surprise the **** out of most from a dig.... Dead hooking with 410s and an ls2 even at 4K #s moves out pretty decent.
