Arrow Nitrous 2014 5.0 vs heads/cam Formula WS6
Just one quick run, dig run will be in another video.

Mustang- 6 speed manual, longtubes, custom exhaust, slicks, aed tune, 75 shot
Formula- afr 205 heads, ls6 intake, pat g cam, ss3600 stall, boltons, ~3100 lbs, slicks

I thought the Formy held up pretty good, then I saw it only weighed 3100 lbs, lol.

After reading what the mods for each car were, I thought the 5.0 was going to get drug.

So how in the world do you get a fbody to be 3100 lbs???

With those mods on the 5.0 its easily a 120-125mph car. Really good race from a roll!

A full exhaust and tune 5.0 will make 410-420whp. Add the 75 shot and it'd be little under 500. I was expecting the 5.0 to walk away, then realized the formula has a huge stall and weighed 700lb's less. Very good race!

5.0 was a strong car. TA held up damn good. Real good run.

700 lbs less?? More like 300.

It depends, my brothers weighs over 3700. Its fully loaded minus the glass roof. They arent exactly lightweights when they have options.

My formula weighed 3380 from factory, IIRC.


Damn i was really unimpressed by that nitrous 5.0, from what i remember that formula goes like 121 or something mph.

Then yes i would have to agree. If this is the same GT from the other vids, its never been killer fast either. Its a premium so i assume its on the heavy side.

Yeah that formula isn't very fast either. especially being that its got a custom cam, a decent amount of weight pulled, and aftermarket castings.

i trapped the same as that car with those heads/shelf cam/ and an ls6 intake in a 3650 race weight gto lol

I agree that the ls1 should be faster for its weight and mods but still made for some good races.

my h/c set up has trapped a good amount higher and its def heavier then 3100lbs. Both cars should be mid 120s cars

Pretty easy actually. Weight just falls out. He's still got a 9 inch in the car from when it was a 6 speed.
