Default LS1 vs 2012 5.0 *VIDEO*

Finally got a rematch against my friends auto 5.0. Before I had a passenger who was in the 220-230 range & the Mustang would reel me in around 115-120. But now without the passenger I was able to hold my own! Previous run here

Enjoy!

Yepp heads are going to be sent out for some porting in the next few weeks. Then I gotta find some injectors & its ready! Long time in the making lol I'm thinking it should be a pretty stout LS1 with 102,xxx miles!

Honestly I think my gears had a pretty big part to the outcome? Because I get the jump on him instantly then he just slowly begins to reel me in once I hit 120

Well....I hate to do it but I guess I have too. Unless your d/a there is absurdly high....or the track don't hook(which we know is not the case from the link). .....aaaaa ****...aaa. Your car is way off....WAY OFF.....or maybe it's you. Something is wrong. Do yourself a favor and don't put a cam in it until you go 11's.

BTW....you have the right gear.....just not the right tire. You need a 26" tire, your 28"s are making it seem like you have a 3.70 gear.....except worse.

Would of thought a Tuned auto would be faster than a stock manual from a roll. Seemed equal almost

He's been told that so often, but he is running those tires "for his future mods"

As they say you can only lead a horse to water....

You should find some cheap 26" tires Brandon. I think you should do like Rob did and try to get 11's N/A first. I wish I did but it's too late for that now lol
