Default 86 turbo 5.3 trans am vs 2008 GSX-R750 **updated w/ youtube vid**

Fun run between me and stealthFRC on his bike. My trans am is making roughly 540 rwhp. Started in 2nd gear while the bike was in 1st, and I brake boosted. I honestly held in there better than I though lol. Believe the bike has just a slip on exhaust.

Thanks guys!

And can people not watch photobucket vids on cell phones or something? Just curious due to the slow response. I'll upload it to youtube if it makes it more watchable.

Good run... and yea agreed on Photobucket. Spent more time waiting for it to buffer then actually watching the race.

Hung in there well RJ. Nice run. We need to get a group together real soon for some fun. I go to first shift in 2 weeks. Only took me 3 years to get there. Gives me a lot more time. Be nice to see how everyones setup is working.

Thanks man. I'm down to run whenever! Traction definitely isn't as issue anymore...I just need to get the damn hang of break boosting. I swear I'm having such a hard time picking it up for some reason!

if the deal on my G8 didn't come along I was going to do a similar swap to my 89 GTA.. it was a 2 owner Red 68k mile beautiful car. I had the seats redone and all the suspension upgraded to spohn then the G8 came along.. I regret selling it whenever i check on a thread or update your car is in..
enjoy it in good health, it's beautiful.

wherever i went with that car it drew all attention from other cars around it.. i never understood lol

they are pretty

Thanks all! Car definitely is a blast to drive and I have been beating it like a red headed step child. Loving the new 2 bar SD tuning in HPT for it as well. Made a world of difference in the consistency and how well it drives around town.

It's been breaking up a bit in 4th gear for a while now and I honestly think my plugs are still slightly hot for the setup. I had them gapped at about .038 so I dropped them down to .030. Haven't checked to see if it helped yet, but I may end up throwing a stage colder plug in, like a BR7EF which was recommended to me from multiple sources.

Either way, I'm loving driving it and am considering throwing an aluminum 5.3 in this winter to drop another 100 lbs. Should go 10's at that point easily at the power it's currently making. Well see.

EDIT: BTW, tonygxp, that TA is absolutely gorgeous! Man I am a sucker for that factory bright red, and that car looks killer with the gold crosslace wheels on it!

Znix, the cooler weather coming in means us turbo guys will be running mighty nice from now until winter! Gotta put that to good use
