Street rubber and a new Driver on the ZL1… never stood a chance.
Of course… It beat the Viper his equally new driving friend brought to the track… so there was no point in running it.
But whatta great machine. I'd buy one in a SECOND if I had 60 grand and didn't mind losing to 16 year old, Mustang killin', Terminator terminatin'… pony car.

He was definitely a rookie for sure, rolled straight through the water box and didn't even do a burnout lol!
Nice kill, more seat time/sticky tires and hopefully he drops a few tenths.

I don't know… that day was Runday Sunday and they don't post times and they tear the other lane off the slips. That was the second worst ET of the day for me and I ran a 7.58 at 93… and was up a second and a half. So that's pretty close, but one thing's for sure, it wasn't good.
I'm not touting the win, (too much… beyond 'a wins a win'). But I definitely enjoyed the chance to run against it. It's the first one I've seen at the track and only the third I've seen period.
Absolutely beautiful car… an amazing machine.

Not putting stink(present-tense) on anything, but you do say a 16 year old car is beating all these cars, the body may be 16 years old aside from the hood and wing but what you're making the power with isn't, take a brand new STOCK 97 ss and run it against a al1 which would be a true match of a 16 year old car vs a new car and you won't have the same results. The truth is constructive, sorry if you don't see it that way.
