Default 2009 GT500 KR vs 2010 GT500

From October 5th at Castrol Raceway in Edmonton AB.

I ran a 10.77@131.3mph VS 10.56@131.2mph for the KR.

D/A was 2855ft as per 1320go.com

KR has a 2.8KB and built motor and my car has a VMP TVS with the usual supporting mods.

Both cars are on MT ET Drags.

I think I can take him with a bit more aggresive pulley setup producing another 50rwhp or so...

Very nice, but over 700rwhp and only trapping low 130's? Man, I really like these GT500's, but that just doesn't seem very impressive to me. Even at dang near 3000ft DA, if it's a legit 700+rwhp, I just think it should be faster. No doubt your car is fast but it should be faster with over 700rwhp. Just think, "Seven Hundred Rear Wheel Horsepower." Geeze man, that's a crap load of power, take some weight out of that beast. I'll stick to my H/C blown C6.

Dyno numbers are just a conversation piece. Those are not mustang dyno numbers either...

Trap speed is what counts in my books. The car has been 133.x several times at a couple different tracks.

The car weighs ~4000lbs at race trim with me in it.

I agree the car will ET better once I get the tires+suspension+driver mod sorted out.

lol 133 traps at 700rwhp?

More like 550rwhp trap numbers there.

Haha, see above for my dyno number comment.

Call it any number you want...I don't care.

I'm not trying to bring you down or anything but 133 trap means you're dyno numbers are elevated to hell and back.

That's like me saying my stock SS made 480rwhp but was trapping 104mph.

Your 2010 SS TVS2300, Cam, Meth, Bolt on, etc...must trap way more than my slobra does.

My SS weighs more than you, has way less power and traps 1-2mph less than you, yes.

Dynoed at about 3000ft, with weather station corrected numbers.

Once again, they are just numbers from a tooning machine. They don't mean a whole bunch unless you want to bench race while drinking beer.

Your car runs the same size and style blower as my car...
Your car has 0.8L more displacement than my car...

And it doesn't trap more than my car?

Come on dude that sounds unpossible.

Great pass and love the white! Ignore the know it all talkers in here that haven't done anything of worth. More than half these guys would love to be able to put together a 10 sec pass, but haven't and likely wouldn't be able to.

LMAO at anyone talking down to a car that is faster than them saying they don't perform well.

Nice pass, cars sound good.

Damn near 3000DA isn't optimal, that's for sure!

I'm guessing that is what the majority of these "know it alls" don't take into account. The hp numbers in his sig are likely corrected numbers, where as his e.t. and trap speed are not. They are just too quick to jump on the "your car (read Ford) runs like poo" bandwagon that they don't use common sense to look at all the facts.
