GT500 ran an 11.4 that day as well if I remember correctly and he missed 2nd gear on the race he lost LoL

Your kidding right, the ZL1 was built for tracks with corners versus just a straight line. It is a shame that it has to weigh as much that it does, no matter what.

The owner of the GT 500 asked me to drive it for him to see what I could get out of it. I declined because the car was so new, hell he probably hadn't had it long enough to fart in it yet.

Honestly, I didn't think he did a bad job of driving it, the launch could of been better, but it's hard to say with the tiny tires he had on it. Next time that he and I are at the track, and he still wants me to drive it, I might make a pass or two in it just to rule out the driver side of it.

[QUOTE=2SSARME;17776879]hmm corvette?[/ comparing a mustang to a corvette? In 1967 Chevy built the camaro to compete with the mustang. Hasn't been much of a competition after 1972.

And again the original zl1 was built to drag race, the z/28 was the road course car. I would expect more from a zl1 in a straight line.

Same here. Even the CTS-Vs seem to match or outrun them with the same engine.

You should've taken him up on the offer. It's still under warranty, you couldn't hurt it to bad. Although, an 11.4 is a nice run!
