The rear end was torn down after the track... after replacing everything in the diff (nothing was wrong with the parts replaced)... this is the sound its making. The gears are junk. He told me that it was making noise after he put it back together and told me we should have changed the gears too. He wanted 800 bucks for it... basically wasting my time. I gave him 400 and havent talked to him since. I have my factory 3.73s i need to have put back in. I wish i had the tools necessary so i could do this myself.

you cant run longtubes and run the stock cats... unless he re welds the cats in somewhere else in the exhaust... which is a total waste of time. Trapping 142 with basically an air intake, pullies and octane/tune seems un-reasonable. What did it make for power?

His regular toon made about 20whp more than me on the same dyno. More boost + race gas + race toon was never dynoed. Your guess is as good as mine.
Here are the stats from that day at the strip. He is car 5878.
I find funny that y'all are calling BS on the 2013 GT500, which is known to be a beast with mods, but yet nobody call BS on the ZL1 trapping 14Xmph...lol.

Because im comparing it the the 1100whp lethal performance car which is a built car trapping 6mph more then your buddies...
As far as the ZL1 goes... I dont defend them at all.

Edit: Intake, exhaust, wheels/tires, tune would be basic bolt-ons to a car. And that's even pushing it to say "basic".

A pulley swap is not a bolt-on lmfao. I thought everyone knew that.. Common sense and been said over and over. You really think uping the boost is a "basic bolt-on"? And who does all those mods, ups the boost, but leaves stock exhaust? And still traps 142. Still sounds like complete bs to me.
Thanks bro, I've learned something new today.

It's been pretty understood for a while (at least everybody that I've talked to) that blower pulleys aren't considered "bolt-ons." Yes they technically are, but technically and "accepted" are two different things. Same effect as a boost controller on a turbo car, and I think we can agree that a boost controller isn't considered a bolt-on.

bottom line is this. There is no "bolt on only" class in the NHRA. Its literally forum/internet lingo that made its way into the racing world. There is no such thing as an official bolt on list.
So because of this... I say to the both of you.... who cares?
