Default 98 Z28 vs '11 evo X....question?

hey all, this guy at collage bought a used in mint condition Evo X, its stock to the filter and its an auto. my car is a 98Z with mods in sig. am aware of evo's HP and trap speed. he will probably ask to go from a dig, but will also do rolls. i have nitto 555 245's all around so traction is not at its best. am pretty sure i should slap that evo in the face am just a bit worried about his launch since its an AWD. opinions?

Is it a MR? I raced my friends Intake/tuner '14 GSR manual from a roll and we were within a car of each other but I had a 250lb passenger. Bone stock 99
auto SS. Without the passenger we'd be about neck and neck. Without tire he'd get me from a dig I think. When he was stock we did a dig and I was able to pull. He had 2 passengers I had 1. Low rolls are a Evos weak spots.

In light of the threads in here recently,
I've gone through the trouble of creating an easy-to-read guide on how to post hypothetical situations in the appropriate sub-forum. Just follow the instructions on the screen, if you have any questions, please PM marc97taws6 with your concern.

I love a good bench race once in a while, too, but there's already 20 unintentional bench races per ACTUAL kill thread, anyway

LOL Good kill.

You should take him from a roll. You should get your launch down to be competitive from a dig if he can drive.

Snake, you better hold on to that "easy-to-read" guide. I have a feeling you will use that quite a bit.

It would be a lot simpler if they would just put the bench racing sub forum in the racing section. No one ever reads the stickies.

Those cars are nothing impressive. I walked one from a dig (an auto) in the CETA I had. All it had was lid and ptb M6. He got me till about 50 by half a car but by 75 I put him back by a car and we shut down (city)...

Both of them crash and everyone dies.
That's my prediction for the outcome. Paper filter is to blame.

snake95 you sir are a total ***. excuse the language, this includes your cheerleaders.

To everyone else who is not acting like a 7 years old child. i did race the guy and its absolutely a waste of time, gas and car lol. we did 1 from a roll and 1 from a dig. needless to say hes thinking to sell the car and start a new LS project lol. he is a former WRX owner, "stroked" as he claimed. video in a min "camera man is stupid but it does show the distance i put on him"

PS, it rained for 4 days after i made this thread and i replaced my motor mounts thats why i took so long to get back here. i dont need to justify but atleast am not acting like a kid.

Yeah my first race with an evo was a huge let down also I thought they could hang.... Don't get me wrong I would still love one as a winter driver.
