Default 2002 Camaro SS vs 2011 Mustang

So my friend wanted to race me and hell i was like aight lets do it, but this kid beat me so bad it wasn't even funny.

2011 Mustang
-3.7 V6, 6-speed with 4.10s
-tune intake
-throttle body
- Makes about 335 to the wheels 350 crank w/ 270 tq.

2002 Camaro SS
-5.7 V8, A4 with 3.25
- 325 Hp to wheels w/ 350 tq

We were at a 20 roll and he was ahead of me when i redlined. So i was like lets try a 50 roll since that worked for the 2008 Gt i beat. Well i got fucked up again. I was a bit closer this time but i redlined ONCE AGAIN. Damn his gears. Im so frustrated about this. Makes me sad lol. I need to upgrade badly lol.

Wow..good run for the V6 Stang but I do not think he is making anywhere near 335 Hp to the wheels..Not even close. 4.10s add no Hp but shifts the torq curve. Tune, Intake and TB add some but not a huge amount to account for that number. Just my opinion though.

There was recently a couple of guys (Father & Son) here on LS1Tech from Virginia with 2011 V6 Mustangs. They had full bolt-ons with Drag Radial or slicks and they would run about high 12's at 108mph. They both could drive the **** out of those cars though!
I would think you should be somewhat close to that ET and trap so I do not see that V6 Stang that you raced pulling away from you.

This man has a point.

As others have said the newer V6 rustangs are pretty quick, and with a couple of mods they surprise a lot of people. You have a stock car A4 car, and it's a vert which makes it heavier. The odds weren't really in your favor for this race lol. Btw you have 3:23 gears not 3:25's, unless you have swapped them which would make no sense at all.

That being said, 335whp does not equate to 350 crank hp lol. And when you said you "redlined" do you mean hit the rev limiter?

Good death I suppose. I like getting the newer v6 mustangs as rentals. For what they are, they are fun.

Get a torque converter. Say a yank ss3600. You'd be surprised how much that will liven up the car and still be very friendly for dd'ing

There is a guy on a mustang forum that I visit, he has a bolt on/tune/3.73 2012 V6 thats running 12.7@109.5. A damned V6 mustang has no business being that fast.

Lol yea man after i put my stall in it was completely different car i would recommend either building your trabs first or buy a 4l80e and build that bc your 60e is garbage to be honest they will break even with full exhaust and a lid and a tune i promise you that!
