Default C5Z vs Neon SRT4

Neon got 2 1/2 cars with the move for $600 pot. No prep for either side. C5Z is a bolt on car with stock gears on a 275 nt05r. Neon has full bolt ons plus big turbo, head, cams and was on a slick.

That was a damn good kill for the C5Z. With all those mods, I didn't think the SRT-4 would have a problem with the vette at all.

Now that's a proper running c5z.

My thoughts exactly! A properly setup skittle with those mods would of left that C5Z needing a telescope to see its tail lights.

the guy cant drive, hence why he was given so much space. idk much about neons but from what i heard this thing is only putting down somewhere around 450 wheel. Plus it was a no prep race so spinning isnt winning!

He's on a tire. Why didn't he bring Vht?

No prep was a stipulation.

Can't see those cars doing very well from a dig, but there are some big turbo Neons around here that run pretty well. Vette obviously had driver mod, great kill for him. From a roll I'd say it would be different, but obviously this was setup for a reason.

I saw this neon make a pass a few weeks ago with the entire 60' prepped with blow torches and vht and a different driver with a serious driver mod, and it reaffirmed my belief that you cant sleep on a fwd car, cause that thing moved the **** out. I actually offered them several options which included prep and switching drivers, but they went with door number 5.

Why prep for a street race??? If you want a drag surface just meet at the track and run.

Vette sounded like it was on cruise control going through gears.

One of the best, surprising races I had was when I made 499rwhp(3100lb FRC at time)..and I rolled alongside a "480whp" neon.

55mph roll. It was a near dead heat...vette started to only pull at top of 4th but barely. We ended up racing like 9 times. Each pass identical. I did have to shift my life away to pull on him. Ran into this kid at the spot,.."gutted car" and dude must have had to weigh 105lbs. It was really impressive for a little shitbox. Kid was pretty cool too. Dunno total weight but I believe him on the HP level.

I kinda always dug the american made skittle.

Cause its for money. And if they wanted to run at the track they would have. You could never coax me to run a fwd car with no prep on the street for cash.

slow cars tend to do that stock 3.42s and mn12 isnt the most ideal setup for drag racing I'll admit.

He clapped him. I do know those skittles can be down right dirty with a big turbo when properly tuned.

lol, I just meant it looked(sounded) easy not that it was slow bro.

I ran an M12 and 2.73 gears for a while(800+rwhp). Funnest setup yet.
