Bolt-on A6 Coyote vs Stock A6 C7
Not my video, but found this race interesting. Thought the 5.0 would definitely pull away. The C7 in this video is strong indeed!

I had no desire whatsoever to get a fifth gen, but if the sixth gen gets the new LT1 and is on the smaller and lighter ATS Alpha platform it will be a DAMN tempting deal, especially if the price stays similar. The 5.0 will be in trouble...
Seriously...H/C sixth gen with a hair of weight reduction is gonna be a ******* monster. 500+rwhp @ ~3400 pounds? Yes please.
GM admittedly slipped up and let Ford get ahead with the current Mustang/Camaro fued, but I highly doubt they will let them continue.

gm didn't really "slip up". in 2010 the Camaro crushed the mustang. after that it's a toss up with base GT models having a slight advantage. gm has better engines, but couldn't make the SS as fast as a vette.

An LS3 I would assume not, an LS2 definitely.
...have you heard about the '15 Mustang? There's certainly more details known about it than this new ATS-based Camaro that's coming up. Given the details that are known/assumed based off of tangible evidence, it's gonna be quicker than the current car. So I wouldn't toss the next round in the bag for GM automatically.

They have the superior motor, but with all the extra size and weight its not a performance focused car anymore. It's like 300-400lbs heavier then a 5.0 . I'm die hard GM but the 5.0 is a better deal then the 5th gen Camaro as much as it KILLS me to say it. If they can make it smaller and lose almost 500lbs, while adding power with the stellar new LT1, then it will be a HUGE hit.
I'd still get a used vette over a new camaro, but in a year or two when used ones start popping up for cheap then it will be a damn tempting deal.

The car was too heavy from day one. Beautiful car, and impressive in its own right (I love the new Z/28!)...but the damn thing is a pig.
