Nope.....as I stated 5th gens are a tad faster. Besides. ......we were talking engines not cars. In that case the ls3 is more powerful than the ls6. It's a shame that gm did not get as agressive with the cam in the ls3 as they did the ls6. It would have been a real monster then.

If I had to choose between a 5th gen. camaro or a new 5.0 stang...I would be getting my first ford! Now if a new COPO or Cobra jet i'd stay GM cause they're both bad as ****!

****, when I leave my car in drive and I floor it, my friend can usually get a full 1-1/2 car length on me in his 5.0. And my car traps 10mph faster than him. So yup, I know what you mean.

Agreed
But dynos vary... as the same dyno I made 372 at... this 5.0 cut 340.
Same dyno, this L99 A6 with headers, intake and tune puts out 332
LS3 Camaro with headers, 390whp
Its a MD thats known to read notoriously low.
Case and point is... it can always be close enough to be a driver's race. An LS1 can definitely give a 5.0 a run for its money if the driver is caught off. But all things considered, stock for stock, the 5.0 should make more power, and should have the edge.

Not true. 5.0s tend to have about 370whp on dynojets, and LS1s tend to see maybe 300-310whp or so stock.

Fixed. I'll agree with the above, since dynos in general are different based on location, owner, and type of dyno. No reason a mustang dyno is any less accurate than a dyno dynamics. Both being load bearing dynos.
Going to a specific dyno just to get high numbers is dyno queen nonsense, as it seems loaded dynos work better for tuning from what I've seen.
