91 firebird H/C/I LQ4 vs procharged mach 1
Quickshift's firebird racing a procharged mach 1 from today. Started the first run in 1st gear, and the second run was from 2nd gear. Mach 1 had to lift in 4th during the 2nd race because he had an engine issue.
Both runs were a crap starting spot for the bird due to gearing differences, but it didn't matter much on the outcome.
91 Firebird: LQ4, PRC 2.5 LS6 heads, tick SNS stage 3 cam, FAST 92/92 combo, 4.10 gears. Makes 440 rwhp.
Mach 1: Procharger @ 6 PSI, bolt ons, 4.30 gears. Made 440ish rwhp.

Good runs! Birds running strong.
Mach 1 is so clean! I love that grabber green paint. I figured it would have put up alittle better fight. He needs to go drop his gear way down and go up a couple lbs of boost. Mach with 3.73/3.90 and 8-9psi would run a lot better

Thanks everyone!
We tuned the bird this morning to rev to 6800 RPM, and it's liking it a lot. Car seems to hit the next gear so much harder, and the pull at the top of every gear seems much stronger now!
I do agree, mach needs much less gear for sure. 3.90's would be mint I think.

We stick to LVD for consistency in our numbers. I know my brother wanted a set of slicks before he goes, but maybe in the next few weeks we'll make the trip, once my car is back in action as well.

So a NA catfish beat a FI Mach 1 wonder what the excuses are gonna be this time or if sharkdouche is gonna come in and say he beat a termi with a stock ls1 catfish.
Good runs man and good kill. Like the green color on the Mach 1

Yah I go to NED. LVD is a hike for me. Curious to see what you guys run. I have slicks/skinnys ready, just want to weld my tubes before. Don't want to risk breaking something up there

Thanks for the compliments guys! Owner of the Mach is a real cool dude and win or lose it was all for fun. It's a gorgeous car that's one of a kind. Once he sorts some issues out we'll probably run again. Glad to see my bird performing well though.
