I drive a 02 z28 m6, full bolt on, cam, geared camaro.. Driven to work this am and on a 3 lane road an stopped at a red light, i was 2nd in line behimd a van an in the right lane first at the light there was a red zl1 camaro.. i could see him looking back cuz he can hear my car lopeing. (With open heads) so he rev'ed it an so did i.. turned green an we took off an as soon as i could i went to the left lane an jumped into the middle infront of the van. Right next to him and as soon as i did he punched it an i was already into it so not sure if he or i got the hit but i was top of 2nd gear started to pull a lil then hit 3rd an had about a half car on him then he started to pull back pretty dam fast an as soon as i hit 4th i let off an so did he cuz of traffic.. i shift into 4th around 90-100 so i would say we did a 25-35 mph to 100 an my car didnt do to bad agents a 500+ hp supercharged camaro.. not to much of a race but was still fun eather way..

I raced a ZL1 at the track a couple weeks ago. Guy couldn't drive it, so fair race cause I suck at it too, LOL. Anywho, I missed 3rd twice and pulled past me in the last 100 feet or so. Got me by 2/10th.

I took him from the dig until I missed 3rd... twice... ugh.

I have one... I have yet to miss 3rd with it. I ran 12 times at the track a few weeks ago. it is effing beautiful and worth EVERY penny. You can probably find a used one they always pop up

My car is dyno tuned and it made 396 to the wheels and that was throught a shitty 2.5 inch exhaust. an its full weight car down to the spare tire at heave torque thrust rims lol, but with a moser 12 bolt with a 411 tru track the gears realy help the car alot.. i only drive it like 2 times a month so dont bother me to much to cruies around with open headers.. lol

An ya power to weight is a beautiful thing when ur in a f bode comapired to the new camaros an even 5.0's but not to sure what was done to his car, it had some kinda exhaust cuz it was on the louder side.. meaning if i could hear him a lil over how loud my car is then im sure he didnt have a stock exhaust at the least. Lol just real wish we went from a dig. My car digs like a mother if the tires hook..

I've ran a few zl1s at the track & usually they're no match for a heads & cam car. They're heavy, & they don't hook at all because theyre usually on stock tires. Without a slick or drag radial on one I'd imagine they're a handful to drive

Ya i looked up there et time at mid to high 12s with drag radials an a good driver.. witch isnt bad for a stock car..i took mine to the track with bald nittos an my best was a 11.96 an 60s were 1.9 2.0.. looking at ur sign u have about the same mods besids u have some nice heads.. i have a slp intake 228/234 comp cam 1 7/8 heads with ls7 clutch, moser with 411's.. whats ur hp and times at the track an do u like the 215 heads? Looking to pick up some soon..

you're out of your mind.. go on the ZL1 board or the designated area on this forum.. guys that know how to drive are running high 11's on stock tires in ZL1's..
