No tune on the TA?? It didn't seem to do very well (no offense to any V owners)... I would expected a better showing against the CTSv on that first run. That 5.0 was hauling though... if that 1/4 is true damn.

If there is no tune on the t/a that would explain why the *** kicking was so bad lol

I thought your V was tuned? Also would of been great to see you run the 5.0. Good runs though.

Mehhh tune doesn't make a HUGE difference on a bolt-on LS1, definitely noticeable though.

Why was the T/A shifting to 5th though? Might as well just put it in reverse lol.

Agreed^.

And that was actually what I would expect from all three cars with those mods and ONLY those mods. WS6 has a clear advantage over the V until the WS6 tries going into fifth gear.

This video is old and i referenced it a million times... but this car has the stock GM tune with the same mods as this WS6. With just a good driver. Was on the limiter the last 50-75 ft.

Because both the ta in the vid and the SS in vans vid have to much gear. 3.90 or 3.73 is a better choice for guys who run the stock height tires. I guarantee the SS is evan's vid would've run the same or better et with 3.90's......and probably trap near 116.

Looked just right to me. Not surprised TA took the W, but there's no way you're going to go into 5th in a stock trans geared F-body and expect to rail a V with just those mods.

I'll have to agree. Would have not had him bouncing off the rev at the last 50 ft, and should have had him with a faster ET at least.

More impressed with the V 3800 lb sedan putting in work and stock at that.

The V1s generally suck *** from a dig, but from a roll... they're stronger than expected.

yup. I have 3.73's and will probably go to 3.90's, but 4.10's will run you out of gear.

.
The gearing threw me off... Going into 5th is near suicide against most cars at higher speed... Of course I don't make that shift until 145 so I wasn't even thinking about that pain. 4th ends at 112 with 4.10s and stock limiter?? Why do people use 4.10s again???

I had 4:10's in my Bolt-On T/A and would barely have enough gear crossing the traps at the strip. Car did 11.9@114. Wish I would have had the chance to go 3:73 or 3:90 like Hio said. I know the car would have gained at least 1-2 mph up top.
