Red Devil Vs Bike(s) Round 2
Ok guys,
Round 2
Same car on 20lbs, same bike 2 weeks later, Plus a built 600
They ran from the barrier to the bridge which is our only 1/4 mile track lol kinda hard to see at first, Iphone but you'll get the picture.
Bonus Info:
The car has a stumble on launch, luckily he was on a roll, but was able to pull a 6.32@112 last sunday at the 1/8 mile track. His success with a stock motor (plus good bearings and rod bolts) is amazine. (To Me) Cool part is if the motor went, he just buys another stock replacment, changes the bearings and bolts, bac in buisness.
To date, the Red Devil and Shawn Bryson's Turbo 5.3l makes me want to turbo my car REAL BAD!!!!
If you just want to see just the race skip to 1:42 sec in the video.

I too sold my almost completely built LS6 for a 300shot of juice to go the junkyard 5.3l turbo route.

I'm still debating on whether it's best to buy a junkyard 5.3 or just use my 45,000 LS1 with ARP rod bolts. I'd love to go Procharger, and that's the game plan, but if building a turbo setup is going to be a lot cheaper, then I'll do that. I know the 5.3 can live a long time on a turbo setup, but not sure which is better for a Procharger setup since it's pulling power off the crank snout.

Nothing like seeing a GM Powered Mustang, lol. Ultimate shame for many Ford nutswingers.
Post this on the SVT forum and they might crucify you
That thing sounded wicked and was doing work on those bikes. Good Kill!

I am still learning as much as I can about forced induction applications and matching setups to the right application. That being said, I believe a 5.3l would be more matched for a turbo setup than a procharger setup. I actually don't think I've seen a procharger on a 5.3 yet.. A procharged LS1 would be a better bet than a procharged 5.3l but I believe a turbo LS1 would be better than a procharged LS1. However, I too like prochargers. Just something about that scream and procharger blow off valve that I like. Although, I would still build a turbo setup before a procharger setup. That's just me but I don't believe you can go wrong with either. Either way, it is BOOST! Lol.

Thanks stockz...
It's a fun daily driver forsure.
I did manage a 6.34 @ 113.3 Sunday @ test and tune.
Not bad for stock engine w/ rodbolts and cam. 3.27 gear and a glide.
thanks for all the positive comments.
