Default LS1 Z28 vs. 2010 Mustang gt (short cell vid)

ok, heres the backstory. i see this dude all the time when im in my durango, silver 10' mustang with loud exhaust, revving and driving as if hes on street outlaws, and i always say why cant i see him when im in my Z. well, today it happened. i spotted him while cruising, followed him till i caught up, pulled up next to him and asked him "do you wanna see how slow that piece of **** is??" haha i was a dick. he said sure il run ya. so we head out of town, slow down and do a roll from 20 or so to 100n or so, beat him by a couple lengths. he does the flyby after i let off of course. so i follow till we get a second clear road, bullshit about our cars for a sec, he says he has exhaust only. and buddy of course says when he gets his car done he will run me blah blah blah, so i cut the buddy off and grab my cell and shout 0-60 lets go, on 3, driver says ok, so i count it off, and we rock. crappy sideways vid, but better than nothing. my z is just lid/catback, bottle but it was empty and off.

I expected a little more out that mustang. Sadness.

When did that happen? Looked like just one foot to me... even though this sideways **** wasn't easy to decipher.

I agree. The original post sounds like OP was a pure dick from the gate.

They dyno 270ish and can get up into the 330 range with tune and bolt ons. If you look at say the 4.8L LSx engine, which dynos 220ish in stock form and 250 range with a tune and bolt ons.

So yeah, I would say that the 3V is strong for it's displacement. The problem is that it doesn't scale with extra displacement like the LSx does.

ok, i have no idea whats with the 2 feet on the gas comment, ive never did tha, i did have have 1 on each pedal, to pump it up a few rpms at launch, and yes i was that big a dick when i pulled up to him, although i was laughing a little when i said it, as his car looks like a 20k car easy but i sware, the way i seen this kid drive through traffic multiple times,(and who the hell does a burnout at mcdonalds drive thru window?) he deserved it. im a pretty rational guy. and once i talked to him, he was an alright dude, and i gave him props for his exhaust, which did sound good. and after the runs when we turned off, i gave him the wave and they reciprocated it. all in all fun, and i told em we'll run em again sometime. in retrospect i was a dick at first lol, but int the end was just 2 car guys messing around.

The 3 valve never impressed me. Flash back to when my bro had his 06 gt with full bolt ons and I had my 04 get with full bolt ons. His made 320 rwhp and mine made 270 rwhp. Long story short our races were very tight every time. The power to weight ration on those cars was not that great

Actually you're very wrong......and your trying to make your argument look good by using a truck chassis and the base truck engine in a truck to compare to what one would think is a high performance engine in a Mustang.

Someone put a 4.8 in a fcar with bolt-ons on here and it made a little over 300 to the wheels.......purty good for a low perf 4.8.

Now compare the pick up 4.6 to the 4.8 and see what you come up with.

yeah there never was a performance 4.8, and the trucks had a teeny tiny cam.

Good kill OP. A guy that lives down the street from me has a 3V with cams and exhaust hoping one day I can catch him see what it has.

Good Kill, OP!
I would have thought he would have stuck with you a little bit longer before he dropped back. The 3V is not that bad from a low roll however, they do seem to struggle on the top end more than anything.
