Thanks! Tried multiple times, ended up deleting each thread because I couldn't get it embedded properly.

Good run, OP. You pulled on him pretty good.
If I am correct, the 2009 GT500s were still on the heavy side. I am sure with the additional option of the convertible top, that Stang was getting pretty high up there in the weight category.
Those runs look about right to me.

So what your saying is it's getting near the weight of a ZL1 but it don't accelerate as well. No when I put it like that what does that make the that gt100 after all the bad things that have been said about the ZL?

LOL..No, not exactly. Since "how fast something is" is relative, I am merely stating that this particular GT500 is already heavy. Then with the addition of the convertible top, it is even heavier. When comparing this GT500 with the Vette such as in the race, it looks even worse due to the weight advantage of the Vette which has a very good power-to-weight ratio.

Yes, the CONVERTIBLE 2009 GT500 is getting close to the weight of a ZL1 and doesn't accelerate as well. Your point?

ZL1s are still a let down and HiO is trying to convince people otherwise? Business as usual.

My point is the ZL beats errything furd before 2013.......so if the Zl is a "let down". What is this gt100?

The ZL1, in a straight line at least, is at-best equal to a pre-'13 GT500. And "let down" usually comes from an enormous buildup, and then a less-than-satisfying outcome. So because it's better than something that came out 5 years prior is to be expected.

Edit: And btw, he was talking about how the '09 GT500s were still a bit on the heavy side. They dropped over 100lbs in '11. When the ZL1 came out in 2012, it was 200lbs+ heavier than the GT500.

Double edit: And as usual, you were the one that brought up the ZL1 looking to start an argument for no reason.
